Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Foxin_Mad replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
It's pure stupidity. The American owners of the red cartel don't want the risk of another team breaking into the big 6. It's bad enough City and Chelsea (and spurs somehow) are there but they don't want any other challengers. The American owners want guaranteed positions, income so they can load clubs with debt like Man Utd. They don't want Leicester or Newcastle challenging. The rules are anti competitive and I actually hope it's proven so. I don't know how any fan can sit there and say these shit rules implemented by complete idiots can possibly be good for the game. To me complying with PSR doesn't necessarily make a well run club either, top many stupid loopholes. I have a feeling we might just ignore psr and we are of the opinion our court cases (and citys) are quite strong. Whatever people think of our owners, at no point have they ever given the impression they aren't willing to fund the club for the long term, if they wish to lose money, as with any business, that's their choice or risk. In business you have to speculate to accumulate, continually selling your best assets to the big six is the exact opposite of sustainable football. -
Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

The whole thing is a sack of shit, I hope Man City tear it a new one in court. To be honest they are on the side of clubs like us. You can never hope to compete if you don't make a loss a some point. -
You could argue Brightons appointment is a massive risk. They were on a downward spiral last year, I'm not sure it will be long before tgey struggle, possibly West Ham too post Moyes. There's an argument that the past 2 managers have been whiney babies, the are employed and paid well to do a job. FFP is stupid but it is what it is, the club should be able to lose whatever money it wants if KP are willing to put that money in, which they have never given any inclination they aren't. Rodgers and his mate were just a responsible for any bad signings and the board and Rudkin in my opinion, as his mate was head of recruitment. Maresca probably gets a bit more leeway but it's pretty obvious any established Premier League club will have issues if relegated, after finishing 8th the year before, there would be no reason for anyone to financially plan for anything less than that with the same squad.

TBF to the guy I like his interview, seems a decent bloke. Good communicator. Listening to that enthusiasm is quite a good thing to hear and hopefully is somewhat infectious.

Yes its definately going to be + points, pureley due to the fact we have schooled the EPL and EFL and showed them how crap and anitcopetivtive their stupid PSR rules are! We should definately get a bonus. I atually hope Man City win as the Red Cartel is trying to protect its crumbling empire. -
True, I cant stand Faes to be honest, id sell him to anyone we can. To be honest the more I think about it if Cooper can build a team with a bit of steel, it might actually be quite good.
-
Even with that back 5 we still should have won that game. Rodgers is an idiot. Thats how we lost!
-
Its actually criminal that Brendan Rodgers managed to find a way to lose with that team! I suppose at least he might instill a bit of fight in our squad, sometimes in recent years we have had a soft underbelly, when teams really want it more than us they have taken it.

Apparently he is bringing in a set piece coach, so thats a positive as we have been shit at set pieces for so long at both ends. I hope he can use Souttar and some of the other out of favour players effectively and maybe teach the forwards how to hit the target, if he can do that he will win me over. He wasnt may favourite choice to be honest but I suppose we will have to get behind him and hope he has some talent.
-
Well I hope you are correct. Hope there is some exciting recruitment as I am finding it very difficult to get enthusiastic about watching us next season at present.
-
May as well be, still nothing of nothingness!
-
Peter Taylor...
-
Yep mid table as they lost!
-
He hit literally one lucky streak that's it. Last year he eould have taken forest down. There was nothing particularly good in that period a piss poor championship. People keep harping on about the job he did at Swansea, he did nothing they were mid table. Just an awful meh appointment! Yes the board incompetence stems from signing a manager who has no hope of keeping us up and will be gone by Christmas, hopefully taking Rudkin with him.
-
We won't Gerrit forward, there will be 11 men behind the ball, time wasting keepers, no shots, no passes, hoooooooof gonna be rancid
-
Solid in what way? He's a Championship level manager at best. I guess thats where we are headed to stay!
-
The board appointed Cooper he is their 'top man' This club is finished.
-
Are you happy with Steve Cooper being appointed (as looks likely)?
Foxin_Mad replied to Tuna's topic in Leicester City Forum
Absolutely terrible football manager. We will be relegated - this guy is obviously brought in to prepare for a Championship relegation battle. Worse than the likes of Farke. Only positive is it may see the end of Rudkin when we are bottom with no wins at Christmas. I hope to god we don't give him a stupid 4 year contract or something. -
Because he is a chancer. He was very lucky that season, firstly Rodgers had a brain fart and he had a squad worth millions. There were 2 games at the end of the season where Brighton and Arsenal bottled it. Forest are still as shit now as they were when he came. His resume really isn't impressive, or no more so the Peter Taylor. Absolutely woeful appointment. Potter turned Brighton into a side that can challenge in the top half, he built a structure and left a legacy. Cooper has never done that.
-
The only positve is sureley this decision has to be has last, when it fails and we are bottom on minus points at Christmas he has to be gone.
-
With the ticket debacle and the upcoming appointment of Steve Cooper it has to be a NO. There is only one place this club is going at present, its downwards. Who takes us over I dont know, lets face nobody really wants club at a provincial city in the Midlands. We have to set expectations. No rich Qatari is coming in for us.
-
If this muppet employs that deadbeat Cooper he needs to go, they all need to go. The club is becoming an absolutely pardody.
-
Is that strictly true though? Realistically more than half of the Premier League is the level of Bournemouth, we were much the better side in that FA Cup game and Bournemouth were comfortable last year. We held our own again Chelsea. A lot of it is down to to fine margins. Having Wout Faes in defence next year will be the reason we struggle.
