Russell Martin - Confirmed as First Team Manager
FoxesWalk replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Our first Russell Martin -
His teams have been some of the worst sides I’ve ever seen, and at rangers he was one of the biggest managerial failures of recent years in any top flight, his saints side was similarly catastrophic in the prem. Couple to that his inability to take any blame or criticism, this is not going to end well.
-
Unfortunately the odds on us getting relegated again are not available yet. Interested to see what they look like

Username checks out

He is a shit manager whose teams play shit football in my mind, some of the worst football I’ve ever seen in the premier league at that. He's going to have to earn the benefit of the doubt from fans with early results else it could get ugly fast.

Group B: Canada, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Qatar, Switzerland

Looks offside in that first image to me, line drawn in an odd place with the Swiss players body being partially beyond it…second one is on though -
I think the only positive here is we’ve actually appointed a manager before the season has started. But that is literally the only positive, Martin can get in the bin. First manager ever at Leicester that is going to have to win me over rather than being given the benefit of the doubt from the off.

Well, League Two is one trophy we’ve never won.
-
Someone like Joao Pedro…? 😅
-
This England midfield, on paper at least, works better together than any other in my lifetime (my memory goes back as France 98).
-
That young central midfielder for Morocco looks class
-
Brazil don’t have the legs in central midfield, doesn’t matter how good the wingers are, they can’t go deep in the competition playing like this. Joelinton would actually be good for them instead of Paqueta. They need someone with an engine in the middle there.
-
Brazil squad looks very light at full back. A long way from the days of Carlos and Cafu
-
Well deserved lead that
-
Morocco looking good, should win this group

Keeper wasn’t that great… he was decent, a 7 or 8 out 10 maybe. He did give away a pen as well. He made 5 saves and prevented 0.47 xG… Switzerland were quite ridiculous pissing about in front of goal. They were lazy in the final third, and they looked like they thought they would just win by turning up. They deserved what they got in the end for not putting the game to bed. -
World Cup iz ere and it’s ****in ****in buzzin

Watched the USA highlights… is it just me or was the atmosphere significantly better than the Mexico game? -
Partey has been banned from entry to Canada to play for Ghana for being on trial for rape and sexual assault. who wants to bet America lets him in because his passport doesn’t say Somalia on it?

Group A: Mexico, South Africa, South Korea, Czech Republic

Korean fans were excellent, better atmosphere than the Mexico game. Reckon they win the group on the evidence so far. -
If he is Leicester manager I’ll have a ropey but maaaaaybe plausible excuse if my wife checks my search history and finds Lucy Pinder’s name in there

For those of you who turned off already… they just cut to the “couch” of the American pundits on ITV and showed some footage and laughed at “Gareth Southgate getting into American culture, look at wearing a cowboy hat!”. Great. Only issue is that it was very clearly Graham Potter. Unbelievable lack of basic knowledge of even recent major personalities in the game they refer to at least one of those pundits as an American “football expert”
