I dislike Martin and his style but I’ve also come around to this way of thinking, we need to stick with a manager for a while now. I’d prefer it wasn’t him, but it is, and the players seem to like him. Before the Oxford game there was a seeming change in attitude and positivity around the place. Obviously that game happened and there is no going back now, but I do wonder how much different the outlook might be on here now if we drew that game, for example, rather than what I would argue is the worst result in the history of our club. Green shoots compared to the horror show of the past few seasons, I just wish we’d stop passing it around the back so much when you have McCarthy involved, no harm in mixing it up at trying to hit Riis ~30% of the time imo. If anything it might make teams more reluctant to press us so high and aggressively to avoid getting caught out by the direct ball.

The fanbase is toxic now, and imo effecting results. Anger is justified against the board/ownership, but gets misdirected against managers and players. Mentality is a big deal in football, any sport, and it’s very likely most will be affected by the anger coming the way of the certain players/the manager imo.
