Turning too much into a basketball match already. We need to strengthen up the midfield with a bit of aggressiveness and picking up loose balls and Fofana in CM can do that. He can run with the ball aswell so can beat their press and Soyuncu at back will help us also defending set pieces. Mendy to come off as he's not having his greatest game. He's better when we have more possession not chasing. Then bring Under on for albrighton through second half as if we can beat their press we can get at them.

I'm not the biggest nacho fan but I actually think he'd be more of an outlet than Perez Concerned how open we will be without Wilf picking up the second balls. (Fofana should have got into CDM and Soyuncu CB- so we had option to also go into 3-5-2 easily) Defo need Under on for some creative and also he can shoot. No changes from Rodgers so hope we see an improvement second half

Apart from the first two mins a Poor performance. Brentford are a decent side but they have lots of players out and this is pretty much a reserve side of them full of youth. Wilf will change the game. We are getting over run In midfield as neither Mendy or youri can overturn the ball and don't have the legs to get back. This makes Amartey even more a bombscare by being ran at by there players. We will create chances but we need to up our game. All a bit slow and passive. I'd look to bring on Nacho as well shortly and even go two up top which will make Brentford think twice about pushing so far up pitch at corners and normal play.

We're not sloppy. Southampton won't give us any time on the ball due to their relentless press but that's how they play and that's what we should have been expecting.
