Harvey Barnes named in full England squad
TrickyTrevLeftPeg replied to UpTheLeagueFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
This.. Apparently rife in the England Squad. -
The absolute scenes on Foxestalk when we sign him for 35mill euros and we put him in the development squad under the guidance of our Academy Staff 👀🤣🤣
-
He's been incredible Every time we go forward you know there will be an out ball to Castagne. I think he's enjoying himself here.

Leicester City vs West Ham (H) - Pre Match Thread

Well after an absolutely brilliant result for us yesterday confidence will be high. Antonio will be handful and Souczek seems to have a knack of scoring goals late from midfield. If we can defend set pieces, isolate there out ball to Antonio we can make this 4 wins out of 4. -
Vardy needs to come off. His groin is obviously causing issues.
-
Castagne is Filth Vardy that is just naughty. What a goal
-
We're literally allowing them to do what they want. Every pass, every cross. Everything is uncontested. Shambles
-
So far I'm extremely disappointed. We've sacrificed our strengths and shown so much respect. You can't camp out on your 18 yard box all game long. You're inevitably going to concede.
-
Even before that goal we've been so negative. Going to be a long day
-
We need to be wise to their play acting. Against Man City we always fall for it. Need a street wise performance from us today.

Fofana does have a potential higher reward long term but that's not a given. As pointed out he's only played 20 professional games and he may not be able to adapt and we could lose A LOT of money if he struggles. Benkovic came with huge potential in mind but unfortunately due to injuries has not been able to play. Therefore that was a low risk and we've not lost much if he was to leave. This may be a signing where we keep Tarkowski for rest of his career. We are all falling into the trap of resale value and from time to time we need to purchase experienced solid players. Especially with Morgan and Fuchs eventually retiring. Evans getting older and we could even sell Soyuncu next season. we'd want stability over next few years at CB position. Tarkowski could offer that.
-
This is a potential purchase with resale value not in mind. If we buy Tarks for £35mill and he's sees out his career with us (another 6 years) that's £6mill a year for a proven solid dependable CB that knows the league.. . There is no first choice CB in the league for £16mill unless either end of career or towards end of contract. They've been linked with Steve Cook and other experienced players. In addition any person worth £4mill in the championship nowadays must mean incredibly inexperienced and therefore a huge risk. Even Matty Cash from Forest was nearly £20mill! Unfortunately, days have pretty much gone getting bargains. Every team wants money and holds out for top dollar, it's the nature of elite football
-
Tarkowski is a very good player we know that. He's solid and can give us strength in depth. Wasn't he second in most defensive stats behind Van Dijk? For 30million and as he's only nearly 28 we can get a good 6 years out of him. Pushing on to £40million or even £50 million with eventual add on's I feel is just far too much. There would be little resale value in the future and that is not how we do things. I can't see us going over £35million. I would still prefer Fofana. His Ceiling could be a lot higher and with a big resale value but obviously is a bigger risk as untested at PL level. Interesting to see how this all develops.

A decent strike force and we'd have won this. Arsenal have been just as bad as us However, with the amount of games we are due to play I can see why we have put this lower down on our priorities -

We should look to offload Gray at the earliest opportunity. He has all the talent but is just so frustrating. Lacks that true footballing brain to make the right decisions at the right moments. He's had long enough and just not delivered. -

Some of our shooting is more Sunday league than premier league. Even 10 year olds know not to lean back when shooting yet Gray and Maddison do it every time
