It's insane. So obvious to change Albrighton for Amartey and play 4-1-4-1 or 4-4-1-1. -

Back 3. We must stay with a back 3. We must stay with a back 3. -

Albrighton for Amartey, 4-4-1-1 and stop screwing around. -

The formation and Timmay are to blame. -
As long as the board outlaws a back 3

Watching this team play a back 3 is akin to watching the heat death of the universe. -
Flip the script: Wilf is massive enough to create a back 3 any time. Let Wilf be Wilf. Very encouraging that Tavares wants to get forward. Youri was so good, Tavares felt he could get forward with abandon. Tavares has advanced to the point that BR should be comfortable with him as a cup sub. BR can test Little Wes in the middle of a 3 and still win matches. Wonderful. Kel should be slotted into the hole. His link-up is excellent.
-
On watching the whole match again: The 6-2-2 formation has to go tonight. The entire point of having Wilf is that he is the extra man in the middle, you don't need another. Which leads to Tonight was a 6-1-3 because Tavares played so high that Kel changed his shorts at half and had to punt Tavares aside to do so. Which leads to Youri getting trashed tonight in all corners until "the" pass. Tavares playing so high left Youri alone so often he was covering for two. Madds, baby, come back. Tavares was lost. He's a domestic cup sub. BD must be very uncomfortable on the left. Little Wes should be on the right and Cags in the middle of a back three. Little Wes was a mess in the middle tonight. Lastly, Kel is fine. 4-4-1-1 until we're through the injuries and let Kel sit in the hole.

He has less time in competitive matches yes, but how does that change his current limitations?

Especially one where a fit squad could be a finalist. As they are such a young squad, I would expect them to lose their first final, but the lessons and understanding of what's needed from each of them would benefit all of them for years and years. -

I viewed a number of Slavia Praha's group stage. Sima is incredibly impressive. He sets himself apart with his movement. Little runs from blindspots to surprise the backs, dummy runs, setting up his next run constantly. He's very young, but his understanding of movement is mature. -
My wish list:

If Brendan tries a patchwork back line, I fear the same about Sima. -
Who would you have them displace?
-
This is silliness. It's not a black and white world. The squad were in an excellent run of form when that came about. Mendy was playing out of his skin for a few weeks. The discussion about rotating a squad in flying form is worth having, but that isn't an indictment of Ndidi. Much the same happened as Ricardo neared fitness the first time with Justin and Castagne looking like the best pair of fullbacks in Europe. Should either lose out because Ricardo is fit? Nuance exists.

Thomas is not strong in the air. Fuchs is not full of running. No way should Amartey yield against fast, strong teams.

He's trolling this thread, stealing ideas.

amicably - in a friendly and peaceable manner. I think you're in search of: admirably - in a way that arouses or deserves respect and approval. Though, if you are commenting on his lack of red cards, then I apologize, he's been quite amicable!
