Always remember before every game he'd gently kick first the left post at the bottom with both feet, then walk along and jump up and tap the crossbar twice from one end to the other then kick the post the other end the same. Like he was saying 'this is my territory' !
I have no idea why he played sou(night) mare and Ndidi together. Completely defensive and no creativity. Soumare was bought to be this driving midfielder but only passes backwards !!
What impressed me was the timing of his runs, absolutely spot on. Technically he looks quite a lot like Vardy, not gifted in certain aspects ( hes not mo salah, more lukaku) but is super quick and composed when it matters most.
I'm hoping we'll improve when Fofana is back, he has the capability like Evans to carry the ball out from the back to create more space for the midfielders.
Having watched the Utd game and again on Match of the day you could clearly see that they weren't playing a high pressing game. This made it easy for Tielemens to play through the middle with ease, he had a field day. But as soon as we play a high pressing team we really struggle to get the ball even to the half way line and then it looks like we're being passive.
How do we overcome this problem which we'll probably get again against Brentford.
