Another example of a ref that clearly didn't want to disallow goal but felt forced too. Real tough choice between shit like the other night or VAR. Really think I'd rather just be annoyed something goes against you sometimes.

Going to take us 30 overs to get where we want to be playing like this. -

Techniques playing the varying bounce has been called into question, rather than playing ridiculous shots. Other than Hartley. -

I fear allowing them to get to 300 may cost us. -

Far too fuming to comment too much but how the **** have we lost that. Comfortably the better team for 80 minutes. I ****ing hate football -
Concentrate on getting him ready for pre-season, no need to rush anything. We can take a look, give him some minutes, and if he needs a championship loan ( we a Premier League club) then so be it.

Waking up at 112-5 I didn't expect us to see us past 300 with wickets remaining. Solid first day in the end, brilliant from Root aided by a few other contributions. New ball looks critical on this pitch. -
It's great until you remember we play Hull soon

Anyone ever seen Everton score a non set piece goal.

Pretty awful couple of days, to say the least. Questions will be asked and there is a balance between believing in the methods and also hiding behind it. It's going to look bad occasionally but its important we realise when it's going wrong and adapt quicker, see the match situation. We have scored a lot of runs playing this way, Duckett doesn't get his hundred for example without taking the same risks everyone else did, but you need it to come off for more than one of them to win a match against the best. India have done well to prepare less spinning wickets in the last couple of tests, overly spinning wickets make our bowlers better and give them a chance. If you need that bit of skills, their spinners are much better. Can't let India get 400plus every first innings, bowlers haven't been threatening enough. -

Could see that result coming. Can't comment on performance but it's one of our lives gone. In terms of the breathing space we have. No time for panic but could really do without playing Leeds next. Must not lose. -
No particular reason, just a feeling. Probably just scars from the defeat earlier in the season. In my head these will be organised and we might struggle to break them down.

Got a bad feeling about today. Can see us being held.

Root has played that shot numerous times and been called a genius. But when he's not in great form it's a bad decision. He's not the type who can hit his way into form. We are definitely missing Stokes the bowler too. -

You do have to take the rough with the smooth, when shots come off we all love it. But its also a bit of a cop out as well. Small adaptations when needed, like seeing off Bumrah. It's hard for it to consistently come off, not against the best teams anyway. But its the only way we can compete, we could play 'normally' and still get rolled over. -

You weren't far wrong Best and worst of Baz Ball in this innings. Throwing the match and maybe the series away in one session. -

Brilliant innings, there's always a chance he knicks off early but once he's in the groove he's a joy to watch. They don't always score big but with Crawley/Duckett, whatever they do it will be quick. Consistently getting us off to quick starts in recent times. -

Almost series defining innings this, need as close to 400 as we can get. -

Shame we couldn't capitalise on the great start. Looks a good wicket (for now at least) once you get in. Going to have to bat very well in the first innings to get anything out of this test. -

Wasn't able to watch any of the game last night but good to see us effectively win the game in the first half for a change. And rest Daka for the 90 as well. Don't get me wrong, I've been guilty of it at times, but we must be the most negative league leaders ever. (Fans I mean, not style of play) you'd think we lost going off comments. -
I know its not like it's an exact choice, given it's Praet that's really being preferred to Yunus. But if its choice of giving minutes to Yunus or breaking Alves into the squads, I know which I'd prefer at this stage. I wouldn't be surprised to see Yunus used more in these next 2 home games. Enzo prefers him when we are at home, and when we are seeing a game out.

Casemiro would've been called offside if they scored from that free kick.
-
Unlikeable manager but Arsenal play some great stuff when they are on it.
-
We are a side note on this highlights programme couldn't get us out the way quick enough. not sure how Bamford can run off celebrating after that, looked a clear handball.
-
Easy to assume there is a motive behind it but we do have lots of options. Yunus is the KDH alternative
