  1. Ian Wright also correct in that there is no proper movement
  2. What is surprising is that anybody is surprised
  3. Southgate takes a crocked Shaw and puts a bloke that can't play left back.
  4. England looking like a rabble. Slovakia deserve the lead
  5. Kante and Chilwell. Runners Up to Leicester City
  6. Yes would have thought so. Shame the other channels highlights show is not very good. Just wish BBC were somehow galvanised to shake things up.
  7. Good points. I suppose I hanker for the days when Match Of The Day featured some matches from outside the top division for league games
  8. Spot on. When my grandson got interested in football the family let him choose his team. I'm Leicester, Dad is Spurs and his other grandad is Watford. The boy chose his local side Stevenage. No big six for him.
  9. Yes. I hate the idea we are all dazzled by the big stars of the greedy 6 etc. Of course there are casual viewers and hangers on bamboozled by the artificial glamour attached to simply the famous names but this does not guarantee a match worth watching. Proper in depth competition on a more equal basis is the backbone of our pyramid. I think our national broadcaster the BBC should be more evangelical in advancing the scope of the interest in the game in this country beyond the Premier League and certainly the obsession with the usual mob.
  10. I would suggest the rule makers are not that expert on the science anyway
  11. Ian Wright was correct when he said they have gone too far into the science of the way the human body behaves instead of simply saying was it a deliberate handball and or was the direction changed.
  12. This ain't cricket looking for LBW. The ball did not change direction and the defender did not obtain an advantage as the ball entered the penalty area.
  13. Yep. It is to try and make the keeper move before the kick. If keeper then saves it the penalty would be taken again. Therefore surely the original penalty is illegal
  14. Bloke has been in the game 5 minutes and comes out with this nonsense. You are spot on with your comments. Obviously the competition doesn't suit a nice cartel
  15. You don't want to be standing in a field with lightening about
  16. Remember when Spurs and Scotland great John White was killed on the golf course during a lightening strike
  17. Agree about the coaching. Focus and concentration required to lift his game
  18. Now we get back to Southgate?
  19. To be honest I've not looked at his match stats for Bayern. Looking at his Spurs days he and the team often seemed to be flat track bullies that failed at the crucial hurdles. I might be unfair but the proof of the pudding suggests something missing
  20. Can't help but wonder if it is just bad luck that Kane has not won any team honours
  21. I get the impression that Kane will continue to be first choice for England until he decides to call it a day even if well past his best or the team suited to a change
