  1. From my early days of following the club Matt Gilles though I wish he never dropped Ken Leek for 61 Cup Final and sold Derek Dougan and Jackie Sinclair too soon
  2. Despite the later issues Mahrez definitely an all time great for Leicester
  3. Moyes OK with me. His West Ham staff even had a Leicester connection
  4. Perhaps they would just like the big six to rotate between them who plays in the final without competing in any early rounds.
  5. Another carve up to suit the bigger clubs
  6. Robins would be OK with me
  7. If Cooper had the same cv but with another club other than Forest I'm fairly sure more would find him acceptable.
  8. Bear in mind wages were kept artificially low. As a highly regarded player and England skipper he could have gone elsewhere but stayed with Fulham even though other clubs could have paid the new higher wages
  9. I mentioned Johnny Haynes. When the maximum wage was abolished he became the first £100 a week player and stayed with Fulham despite not winning anything. In the 60s and 70s think of long serving players like Graham Cross and John Sjoberg for Leicester
  10. Yes. Look at the likes of Johnny Haynes
  11. Forgot about Rob Kelly
  12. Of course Matt Gilles was a former Leicester player too. I suppose since the only permanent City manager that was a former player at the club was Frank McLintock which didn't go well. Perhaps time for Mark Robins
  13. Just what I was thinking
  14. What is the general feeling for Mark Robins. A Leicester connection. Seems to have done well with Coventry
  15. Nothing surprises me with regard to football managers these days. I was more deflated when Pearson left and that turned out OK. Just hope a new appointment is made soon
  16. Which brings us to?
  17. Nobody is a guaranteed success. Moyes knows the division inside out. Robins has served a long apprenticeship as a coach.
  18. Enzo was unproven when we appointed him.
  19. Seems Hubris was the main player for Leeds
  20. Reminds of the story when manager of Diana Fluck suggested changing her name to Diana Dors. Was worried if her name was in lights and a bulb went!
  21. Well, that has stopped the narrative if you know what I mean.
  22. It is one of those stories that would be ridiculous if not true
  23. The 2013 TV version with Michael Palin and Ben Chaplin was good. Based on true story
  24. Unless we do it again 2016 will never go stale for me
