Only caught the end of the programme. It did concern me that medical experts may have been reluctant to give opinion on Letby's behalf due to disastrous outcome on the career of a doctor that gave expert opinion for a previous defendant.

Anyone feeling a little disappointed with our haul this time please refer to Atlanta 1996. Much better funding etc but the improvement is to be celebrated as something the country has got right
-
I don't mean to be over critical but after my comment even Michael Johnson said he was slowing down a lot. Still good to get a PB etc. The other chap ran a perfect race it seems

Good effort but tied up at the end. 2 nights running our man loses out to US athletes. Bit frustrating but hey ho

Prefer the Neil Diamond original myself

Don't think too many over 65 were rioting. You don't miss an opportunity to have a go at pensioners and paint a picture that we are one mass that think and vote the same and from the same economic background. Nobody asked me in a poll by the way

Fair play to him though. Easy to talk when you've won. He must be hurting so good grace to chat
-
Fair play to Hocker but as you say Ingerbritsen left the inside open in trying to force Kerr wide. Smart race by the American

When I was younger loved The Midnight Movie. Probably nod off after 20 mins now

To any of you good peaceful people out there that feel threatened sincere good wishes to you all.

As an old fashioned analogue sort of bloke I miss the mainstream channel film review shows like Film Night. Lot of movies come out that I know nothing about. By the way is it only old geezers that refer to going to the cinema as going to the pictures?

In in the UK at least the traditional working class has been undermined by an underclass that has no appreciation of nature, culture, respect for others and their surroundings.

Always loved track and field. Early heroes Ann Packer, Mary Rand, Lynn Davies in 1964 followed in 1968 by David Hemery and tragically lost just 2 years later Lillian Board

I wonder how many involved don't work and also how many did not bother to vote in the recent election.

I agree but too many people don't know how to behave at the best of times and then in a mob whipped up by others the results are horrible
-
I think there are too many feral people in this country

I don't want to comment on the racism aspect but I've long thought we have a very immature attitude to alcohol in this country. Some so called adults are a bit like if you let a load of 5 year olds loose in a sweetshop without supervision. They would likely gorge themselves and be sick soon after. As per far too many adults on any weekend do with booze.

I've resisted The Sound Of Music all these years but of course seen lots of snippets. My wife went with a friend as a young girl and walked out so she has never wanted to convince me to watch on tv. I agree with your other examples too

I was thinking of big blockbuster films or popular films in general over the years that I thought rubbish. For example Titanic was imo ruined by a silly love story. Far better at a fraction of the cost was A Night To Remember from way back in 1958
