  1. I would prefer if there was no doubt that it was onside and accept it. This though looks dodgy
  2. Definitely frustrated not to get the win but a point at Palace is not bad and crucial we didn't lose
  3. At the stage where the international break is very welcome even at this early stage of the season. Back to a gloomy afternoon
  4. A tops turvy game apparently. Sunderland went one up before Leicester went into a 2-1 half time lead. Sunderland then came back to lead 3-2 before we levelled at 3-3. Richie Norman got a booking against his local rivals.
  5. Most pensioners will pay tax on that too.
  6. As a pensioner I was trying to be fair to the government but I do agree on your summary
  7. From this forum and others it does often seem there is a need by some to divide between the age groups in the country that would cause outrage if trying to divide along other differences in the community. Pensioners are not all the same. A mix of wealthy, poor and everything in between. Often with younger members of their family that they support financially and practically or simply care and worry about. Of course some older people are as guilty of division as others. As for the Labour government I understand that there is a difficult balance to be made and WFA is not a sacred cow. Just a bit surprised that it was one of the first targets especially when no mention going into election. I suspect if only a majority of say 15 seats or so than it would not have happened at least not yet.
  8. Great to see what were a few of my first City heroes
  9. Free TV licence is only available to over 75s on pension credit. Some people other than pensioners qualify for free prescriptions. Also think of older people that can't drive or have to give up driving which in turn means better safety on the roads etc. Most pensioners also pay tax
  10. Over the years there have been an enormous amount of massive hit records that were and are truly awful
  11. Probably best to avoid what you hate if possible. To join in though I would suggest anything by Beyonce that I heard
  12. There will be a sizable minority that will be just above the threshold that will notice the loss. I understand the need for the government to make savings. Not saying you are having a go but whenever pensioners and pensions are discussed there is a tendency to assume all are in clover and ripe for a bashing in forums.
  13. You do realise that most pensioners will pay tax on the increase so not £500 net. That pensioners are not as poor as they once were does not mean they can be described as all wealthy. A lot of younger people with children rely on the free childcare taken on by grandparents. Also a lot of older folks started fulltime work at 15 or 16 and paid into the system unlike a lot of younger people who or are students till 21.
  14. Sambre, Anatomy Of A Crime. French six parter on BBC I player. Thought provoking and very well acted based on a true case in Northern France.
  15. My mum was a geordie so sometimes a word or two seems to fit the bill
  16. Yes. Amazing when you look at matches around the country now compared to say the 70s during autumn and winter. Filbert Street we know was full of clarts but others too suffered
  17. Would the double decker at south end of stadium with casting a long shadow added to the problem too.
  18. Fair comment. You do have a great tune too .
  19. Is there a case to drop national anthems before international matches or even our domestic cup finals. Of course fans want their national team to win but is there really a need to play the anthems. Just a thought
  20. Looking forward cheers
  21. As a Leicester fan not from the Leicester area the love of the club expanded to an interest in the City in general. Your weave is pretty accurate of my experience. Enjoyed the historical places and shows at the venues.
  22. Thank you for another brilliant piece. Looking back even further to 1903-04 I see historicalkits has us as red shirts in this single season but I've not seen any further info on this elsewhere. With your marvellous knowledge and research do you have any clue please
  23. It may be called dynamic pricing but really is just a rip off given a polite name
  24. I've not followed the whole case but it seems there are concerns errors were made at the trial. If not murder by Letby than could there be medical complications that caused the tragic loss of the babies
  25. Delighted Leicester exposed what a bunch of amateurs the Premier League and EFL are. Anyway I always think points deductions should be applied retrospectively. We got relegated anyway so tough.
