  1. Can you update the wiki. Cheers mate šŸ˜‚
  2. I know very little about BDR, but Wikipedia said he plays on the left so I assumed that was correct
  3. Can Mavididi play on the right? I wonder if Bobby is our left winger, shifting Stephy to the right and no deal for Fatawu? I thought we were obligated to buy him though. Very strange for him to not be announced. Maybe it’ll happen later today? Staggering the news
  4. You’re forgiven
  5. I don’t think many have said ā€œwe fully endorse itā€ I sympathise with stuff like this, it’s tragic, but it’s all part of the shit storm that is life and some of us have awful times of it, whilst others are quite lucky. For example, my dad was an alcoholic, I had the worst relationship with him because of that and have some very harrowing memories. He died in his early forties due to organ failure. However I don’t expect the club to stop selling beer in the concourse because of my crappy childhood. If anything it’s just made me determined to not be THAT GUY to my kids. Gambling and sport is something that’s going to be very difficult to separate, as is drinking. We’re moving in the right direction in terms of not putting the brands on shirts from 25/26, but gambling ads will still exist and will be as prominent pre match and during ad breaks on TV as always. All they have to do is say ā€œbet responsiblyā€ and that’s it. I think those adverts are much more appealing than seeing a logo on a shirt. I’ve never once placed a bet because I’ve seen a static shirt transfer, but I have whacked a tenner on a game after seeing a TV ad. Unfortunately, in recent years lots of people get triggered by many things and it’s making it hard to censor everything offensive in equal measure. But at least the shirt ban is incoming… But for the record, I’d have preferred something else too.
  6. And this is also going to be banned in 2 seasons šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø You’re also reading out of context. The OP said ā€œstate of the modern gameā€. My point is, this ISN’T a modern thing. There have been far worse things on shirts historically than gambling,
  7. We used to have alcohol and cigarette brands on shirts.
  8. Gambling I understand, the energy company I understand, not wanting money from any Saudi investment I understand… Sorry state of affairs, and not condoning it, but I don’t think there are many brands that could’ve gone on our kit which wouldn’t have pissed off some supporters.
  9. The logo is fine. That’s the least problematic part.
  10. Christ almighty. I do video for a living and have worked with 40-50 year old CEOs who struggle to know what to say when the camera is in their face. Does it really matter as long as he can play football?
  11. What’s interesting on reflection is that we have a three year deal with BC Game right? But can’t have them on the front of shirts after 2 seasons (if we stay up). Not a surprise that Susan couldn’t even pretend to be sympathetic.
  12. That’s worse because it’s literally throwing money down the drain
  13. Kids have always been tech savvy. I’m not trying to be difficult, but proxy access etc to gain access is a bit different to proving age with full photo ID and a bank statement etc. I can’t remember which site it was, but I had to show a photo of my passport, a bank statement and then use my front facing camera to take a photo to cross check against the other proofs, all just to claim a free promo. But we’re going massively off track here. I understand why you’re concerned. Out of interest, why would a kid want to access porn on a school computer when they probably have a phone? To make a scene?
  14. I get that worry, but I’m not sure loads of kids in Nottingham started to invest in new boilers a few seasons ago šŸ˜‚ I’ll let myself out.
  15. Interesting. Viewing porn etc is very easy though, ā€œare you over 18?ā€ Yes.
  16. Sorry to hear that bud, I’m a father too so understand. Thanks for such a well educated reply āœŒļø
  17. Do you ever use these websites? The hoops you have to jump through to prove identity are quite thorough. I admit, I might be somewhat naive to the darker sides as I go on just to have a flutter from time to time, but don’t have a problem/addiction. I’ve set deposit limits, only bet what I can afford to lose and do it for fun. Would I feel differently if somebody close to me had a problem, or if it became an addition for me? Probably. I didn’t mean to cause any upset, it just seemed a little unrealistic to me that little Leicester City could help drive an ā€œepidemicā€ as somebody called it, when Sky Sports, TalkSport and whatever BT Sports is called now is littered with Bet365, MGM Casino, William Hill, etc every 5 minutes. That’s a far worse problem as those adverts actually glamourise it.
  18. I’d imagine that even if we got Walkers Crisps back, some would be unhappy because they know somebody that died from being obese.
  19. No, because that’s not what I’ve said. The OP suggested children seeing a gambling logo on a players shirt would therefore go to the website, use it and become hooked at a young age. You cannot use it without being able to show Photo ID and proving you’re over 18. The woman you mention has absolutely nothing to do with it, and it’s a very poor move to play that card when discussing the likelihood of children using the site.
  20. We were talking children, don’t change the goalposts
  21. With all due respect, you’re reaching with this theory
  22. Been looking at the kit more today. I know it leaked ages ago, but it’s quite nice to see a city kit that’s blue with YELLOW and no bloody gold on it. Blue, yellow and white takes me back to my childhood cos I’m an old fart.
  23. They could’ve put KP on the kids shirts tbf.
