After reading a few of your comments it’s clear that you’ve never played football. ‘Downing tools’ is such a blasé comment from fickle fans who believe that just because a player isn’t performing at their highest level they don’t give a toss - which is absurd.
The vast majority of our players last season played the ball sideways or back with absolutely zero intention of making anything happen - Madders was the opposite. Because of the player he is, on occasions he is going to lose the ball but that’s not through lack of effort.
As far as I’m concerned I’ll always regard Madders as one of our top tier players and wish him all the best - just a shame he chose Spurs!
