  1. Just finished my first season with Stabæk, second tier of Norway, outrageously good young squad and I added a few more to it. Managed to go unbeaten, and my second team also smashed their fourth division group and got promoted. Pretty pleased the second team did well as you can only loan out 8 players, so the second team improving means I can make sure the lads who don't go out on loan are still playing at a good level.
  2. Some people can't comprehend you can think he's a good player for the level but also think 3 years is a crap deal.
  3. Unless he's on a very very low wage, that's not really relevant to the length of deal is it
  4. Wouldn't say a bruiser is required when we're likely to have over 60% possession every week
  5. Ignoring the length of contract, if he can find some form he'll be decent enough, along with him and Chaplin both being big parts of that Ipswich side, which you'd hope will help with creating a decent culture for the young lads and any left over senior players from previous years.
  6. Not really is it, his age plays a part in a 3 year deal not being a huge positive
  7. Don't think the doubts are over his ability, more over us giving him a 3 year deal
  8. But that would be the whole point wouldn't it
  9. Unless we're very keen on him not getting the loyalty bonus, so we'd happily sell him for x amount, we just want to force his hand
  10. Hulls probably a victim of Rob Keys obsession with pace
  11. Well he could have easily gone, nah I'll take my pick of clubs and let this go to a tribunal. Playing him wouldn't only benefit him either, we'd have to play him if we thought we had any chance of keeping him and if not to try and ensure we maximised whatever we'd of got at tribunal.
  12. Well 1 will be noticed, perhaps the others won't as they didn't happen
  13. Jumping ship by making sure the club whilst in the shit get a decent fee for him
  14. Clubs like Brighton can afford to pick up a couple of experienced lads here and there, because their model means they'll also be signing however many players they'll make money on to keep the club ****ing running.
  15. We don't need security on a player that age
  16. Guess it's good we've been proactive in getting him out if we're signing more forwards, rather than waiting for our business to be done and clubs who were interested potentially moving on and him being stuck not playing behind the new guys
  17. People seem to be saying exactly what they said when we came down from the prem, and he stunk it out in the Championship as well. Reckon people confuse not being a tit with being good.
  18. As people keep saying with Okoli, lets just keep dropping until we find their level. Everyone said he'd be fine in the Championship and he was shit there as well, only redeeming feature was that he wasn't a mardy arse like Winks
  19. He's just crap, amount of times you see him not picking up a man that he's actively looking at is wild
  20. Was Kasey Keller really an unkown?
  21. I've watched it and I'm the same, it's a good laugh when the action is happening, but I'm not massively arsed about the actual story and feel I'm just watching now because I've watched so much
  22. Not sure it was 90%, think quite a lot weren't massively fond of him and what they'd seen in the media (e.g. after being on the end of two hidings from Maresca) and what other fans had said about him, but also thought he'd likely do a decent job, especially in League One.
  23. Fofana didn't do his ACL did he?
