KDH had a patchy PL experience. One footed who the best midfielders and defenders know how to handle. It would be Brighton veering away from their model.

I just dont think anyone expected Vestergaard to be as good as he was. Which is odd, as our club singed him!

I've discussed this yesterday, but it's the root of the problems and where others might get caught out too. We are chasing CL spots, just miss out, and want to either get back there or become mainstays of the Europa cup. We simply can't entice the elite players in - those players negotiate to be in the top 6. But, Tops vision has the best Coach in the land (who we a lucky to have) and the best training facilities in the land. So the answer is simple, you entice in tomorrow's PL talent, who has had a level of success elsewhere, and you let Rodgers + Seagrave fast track them to superstardom. To help that fast tracking, you pay them now as if they are established stars and amortise their fees over 5 year contacts. No need to deal with any of that negotiating nonsense in 2 years, as by then Man City will be buying them for 100 million anyway. Flaws were: Rodgers wasn't as good as Top (and Rodgers) thought he was. A great training facility can't magically turn average players into superstars. Paying them as if they've already succeeded gives very little incentive to develop and push on. Once Soumare had his teeth done, what more was there left for him in life? The training ground is a massive white elephant. I have visions of Top and Rukin going around dumbstruck as to why Praet hasn't turned into Messi yet.

I'm not sure i understand all the bluster about Enzo needing to spend big. Next year the only goal would be survival, and this would be hamstrung by points deductions anyway. He is probably the only person in the management team who could come out with any credit next season.

What would it take to turn on the owners?

I would like a business that can manage the finances responsibly, focus on modern data driven thinking, engage with the fans better and maximise revenue opportunities to sustain further growth. -
Why i replied previously to claims that if we go up we could deal with a points deduction and relegation by leveraging the youth team as part of the rebuild process. It's a situation that could ruin youth players careers and feels massively irresponsible.

KDH says hi!

It's all very well saying we budgeted for a top x finish but we didn't recruit the players to do so, we just paid them the salaries as if they were top 5/6 players. I presume that we bought into the philosophy that Rodgers and the training ground would work miracles and turn Soumare and Daka into next generation world beaters, so we paid them as if they already were.

Yeah, but he had only just been let out of the post room and had just started his 'Excel for Beginners' course. -
The point is about future breaches. The formula used is over a 3 year rolling period, so unless we do something to address that we will be breaching this period and the next. I presume that part of the hearing will be how clubs plan to address the issue.

How could we be a sustainable club if we don't own any of our assets? -
You know what, if i was in the youth team (or I was a guardian of someone in that youth team) I would be saying 'f4ck that', im going somewhere i can actually succeed. Alves, Braybrooke and Nelson (and others teetering on the edge of the first team) have 1 shot at their careers, and ruining it, playing for a club who can't get basic financial management right so they have to play with points deductions and a club that can't even recruit reinforcements. Why would you do it to yourself? You would be chomping at the bit to get out somehow rather than have to deal with that crap next year. It's not a concern - it's the stark reality. McKenna could actually recruit players that fit their objectives, so its not actually a great comparison. Now this is out there, are you going to be able to get another up and coming manager? Enzo (or whoever we end up with) is going to have to navigate the sinking ship with players scrabbling to get out, and a squad they can't recruit for. No style or philosophy (Enzo's or a Dyche/Warnock style nutter) is going to suceed with that. Enzo could probably be the only employee of the club who could come out of next season with some credit.

And his bosses who either gave him (and Rodgers) cart blanche to sign those contract, or were complicit in knowingly signing off the costs. -
They were NEVER going to be shared. They just thought that they could get away with letting us think there might have been some sort of meeting. If i recall, they were all at the horses a few days after relegation was assured. And to the best of my knowledge, the Foxes Trust got nowhere either with their MS Teams call they were granted.

Those in the boardroom have been kicking this can for as long as they can, maximising their salaries and ensuring they can keep getting paid as long as possible. Bet they can't believe they are still on the payroll. Relegation should have triggered a huge change in the setup - and then a new age for the club. They all knew this was going to land one day.

Lolz - Tielemens was the biggest bosman loss of them all (next to Cags). Would love to have actually got something for him. -

The training facility is a great concept (although i'm starting to worry an exceptionally flawed one), but do those kids want to trust a club like ours with their futures anymore, when one of the big-uns come calling? Be even worse when we are firmly rooted to Championship football for the foreseeable (or worse). The next Barnes', KDH, Alves and Brakebrookes of this world aren't going to commit to us are they. Its time for Top to go. This has been caused by him employing Rodgers and handing far too much power to the bloke who didn't give a stuff about the club, but only his own image, and proceeded to buy as if we were a top 6 club in funding (but without buying the good players part). The 'yes' people Top employed around him didn't have the balls to stand up for what was right, so banked they would continue to take their Salaries and kick this can down the road. A poor culture all round, and one that hasn't generated success. The fabric of what we are is now in danger of being ripped up. Truth be told, i never wanted Rodgers, Congerton, Perez, Bertrand, Daka, Soumare, Jannik and all the other over priced sh1te that came with this. The wages that formed part of this downfall weren't worth it. Sad, sad times. -

Selling Cucurella for 60 mil and Caicedo for 100 mil is almost cheating. Its witchcraft. -

So presume we now get to see the minutes from the meeting they all had at the end of last season? Can't believe we told the EPL to fek off about that business plan. Damn right they should have been asking. -

You forgot Perez and several center backs that the manager fell out with, meaning we played Amartey week in, week out. -

Pay rises for Whelan and Rudkin then. Utterly pathetic, and if they could prise their heads out of Tops arse for a few minutes they might even feel a little bit of shame. -
Or maybe he would rather the players get the praise? One win doesn't mean his job is done, but the players can take their credit for the performance. People really do read into too much sometimes.
