  1. From the PLs own guidance, violent conduct includes: use or attempt to use excessive force or brutality against an opponent, teammate, team official, match official, spectator or any other person, regardless of whether contact is made What a surprise clattenberg was talking shite. Clear attempt use excessive force.
  2. I can't recall a tackle that hasn't connected being punished? Anyway I'm just repeating the laws of the game according to Clattenberg, I agree with you it was wild.
  3. Absolute moment of madness. But I can see why intent isn't looked at. That was an incredibly obvious, and unusual, case. Would potentially open up a can of worms. Wonder if the FA can do anything retrospectively? They should.
  4. It was all Ruud Van Cooper's fault guv
  5. Whilst I can't really understand the selection of Ward in two matches by RVN, I also cannot see any justification for an argument that we'd be better off points wise under Cooper. Let's put aside Coopers lack of coherent game plans, dreadful in game management and our lack of any tactical identity/progression in his time here. Let's also forget his terrible win ratio, even before he joined Leicester, and the fact he showed absolutely no sign of turning that around. The players weren't having Cooper in his last couple of matches. He'd clearly lost the larger part of the dressing room. Whether that's a right or wrong attitude by players is a moot point, that spells the end of a manager. Whether Ruud is the right man time will tell. But let's stop with this instant revisionism about Cooper's spell in charge. He was way out of his depth and thank goodness for once the club acted decisively.
  6. I believe he played left back a couple of times for Spurs and did okay... Suddenly those £25 big ones don't seem such a waste eh?
  7. Cooper was shocking. He had a pre-season and a transfer window and we still looked abysmal under him for the most part. In fact, the longer he was in charge the worse we looked, and that's my biggest criticism. Absolutely no sign of a plan or progression. And, whether you agree or not on the perfomances, it was abundantly clear the players had given up on him. So, no, we had zero chance of staying up under Cooper. As for Ruud, it's far too early to tell.
  8. This could fairly represent the number of meaningful touches we have in same the period of time during the match.
  9. Lolz, genuinely there was only one reason I cracked the port tonight. This game. Cheese, not a fcking bit of it. This stuff is hooch for the middle age. Gout would be preferable to watching this game sober.
  10. Lightweights. I've finished the wine and have moved onto the port.
  11. There are many problems, but Ward was absolutely the most serious.
  12. The reverse of that game in 96 when united changed out of grey kits at half time to be more visible. It might be better if our players can't see each other. It'll certainly he better for us fans if we can't see what's about to unfold.
  13. Okoli and Vesty. Pace and guile. Can't be worse than what we've seen to date.
  14. For the first time in the history of football the suggestion of paying a players contract up and packing him off makes some semblance of sense. I never ever want to see his simpering, bemused, hangdog expression as he picks the ball out of the back of the net again. Honestly if Ruud picks him after that I'll lose confidence in him.
  15. We need points now. Play him whilst we have him regardless.
  16. Just shoot from anywhere. If it's on target it will beat Ward. I've never seen the like.
  17. My god offside but ward just in no man's land looking lost.
  18. Great work and an excellent scarf to boot.
  19. Doesn't sound like a pod is really a priority right now mate, hope you are okay.
  20. @Ric Flair podding this week squire?
  21. Well said! Some of the rubbish written in player threads is laughable. Particularly when the same people posting are often proved entirely wrong over time.
  22. Pretty sure he had his eyes closed on one of the goals today (unless that picture is from today)
  23. I will never not worry about Forest winning. It's in my DNA.
  24. Ward seems incapable of even moving in the direction of the ball
