  1. I have never agreed with the sentiments in a pod more. @Ric Flair Jake, Jord and Becky all made great points, a cathartic listen in some respects. We are absolutely despicable at the moment.
  2. Man City, Newcastle, Wolves etc.
  3. Sack the board!
  4. We need a new striker and a winger desperately my friend you are right.
  5. We're absolutely honking. A win currently seems like a distant dream.
  6. Dare I say a striker must be our absolute top transfer priority now? He's bordering on middle age. I know from personal experience everything starts slowing down. He simply cannot be our number one striker and I wish he'd retired in pomp having helped get us promoted last season. This threatens to be a sad, sorry end to his illustrious career with us.
  7. Amateur hour. When will they learn?
  8. Someone has already posted this grind. I know because ever since I have relentlessly referred to them as sandos when talking to my wife as it really annoys her. And that's what marriage is all about.
  9. Fvcking hell I literally just did a content search to come and post pretty much exactly what you've said. I cannot remember the last time I had such an irrational hatred for a player. From his hair to his finger pointing, his face annoys me, his 16yo gimp on a sportsday running style riles me up. Get this whining t0sser gone as soon as ever possible.
  10. With the benefit of momentum, a clear plan and Enzo having more influence on transfers (no Skipp, no Ayew, no BDCR) I think we'd be bottom half of the table but better off than we are. How much better off I'm not sure because we really are p1ss poor from front to back. But better off.
  11. Even Brian Badonde thinks Musk is a c**t.
  12. I agree with the sentiment but... Ward has sat on his arse collecting a nice fat wage for years. If he was that unhappy I have no doubt he could have taken a wage cut, still made plenty of money, and moved on. I have a lot more sympathy with a young player moving to a new country and league than I do for Ward.
  13. Spot on. And, again, you can probably lay much of the blame at the clubs door. We need DoF led signings and managerial recruitment that align with an overall vision/direction for the club. You know, how a modern successful business should be run. Not knee jerk appointments and recruitment that is manager led. Presumably Glover presents a suite of options to Rudkin and whoever is manager. So he's not absolved of all responsibility but he's definitely not going to be the decision maker is he? It is also much harder to identify suitable targets if you are being asked for a wildly different profile from manager to manager. Not a chance, for example, we sign Ayew under Maresca. And that is just a ridiculous way to run recruitment. No system is fool proof. But clubs like Brighton have a much better chance of sustainability because they have much better systems in place.
  14. To a standard considerably higher than JJ I fear.
  15. The original post may be a joke that only @Miquel The Work Geordie gets. But yes, that is definitely the tune!
  16. Pliskin is one of the most wildly extreme posters on the forum. Veering from extraordinary over optimism to complete despair over the course of a weekend. Once you've made peace with this his posts are usually very entertaining and occasionally make a lot of sense.
  17. Tbh I would have started the treatment table over Ward. Better positional sense, a real unit.
  18. Has he got a song yet? I'm thinking: Under floodlight loneliness Oliver Skipp emptiness To the tune of Snow Patrol, Chasing Cars
  19. You watched the game last night and that's your conclusion? Paying fans are perfectly entitled to vent their ire at Rudkin and the ownership, Lord knows something needs to change. The blame lies squarely on their shoulders not the match going fans, who as a group are a pretty fvcking docile happy clappy bunch.
  20. To stand any slim chance of survival we need a striker, a winger and a CB. All of whom come in and make an almost immediate impact. On a limited budget. The best scouting team in the world would struggle. We've got Glover overseen by Rudkin.
  21. You will need to pay Nick De Marco a couple of million quid if you want a meaningful answer to that.
  22. How can Okoli not get into this slagheap of a backline?
