  1. I can't wait for Daka to return to fitness.
  2. Made some Scotch eggs for lunch, with garlic and rosemary breadcrumbs and a pork, fennel seed and chilli sausage meat from the local butchers.
  3. Zero threat on the break allowing wave after wave of attack with no jeopardy for Arsenal and fvck me what a surprise we concede. Superb game plan so far.
  4. Mate, it's little gem, on the river right in the shadow of the Cathedral. I know County cricket will have to change to survive but it'll break my heart when we lose some of the County grounds. Full of character, full of characters. At least 7 pubs worth a visit in city limits. Tick it off. Watched Leicestershire there numerous times. Obviously New Road will be underwater anyway so it'll have to move whatever!
  5. Haha, every move I make is further away from civilisation so perhaps one day... St Lawrence's in Ludlow is spectacular. In fact Ludlow generally is well worth a visit. My mate owns a little micropub there, but generally several good, atmospheric pubs, two or three decent eateries and Ludlow Brewery is open to the public. Plus the castle. There are some incredible churches and little towns dotted around the Welsh borders. Anyway, I'm hijacking this thread. Next time you're in planning on visiting message me and I'll happily give you a few recommendations.
  6. Beautiful area. I live about an hour away from Worcester, on the Welsh border but my folks live in South Herefordshire. One of the countries better kept secrets, which means no huge influx of tourists. I can make infinite recommendations in the area for food/drink/historical activities if you visit again. Feel free to DM if you do.
  7. You're not excited to see 90m of Ayew? Plastic.
  8. Very underrated area. I may have remembered incorrectly but you're a bit of a history buff? If so the Commandery is excellent. The cafe there does good coffee and nice toasties as well. Oil Basin is more your crafty sort of place but genuinely good, and next door is a Belgian beer bar, huge bottle selection and keg, also do charcuterie boards. All this is within 10 mins of New Road, so if you're a cricket fan it's happy days! Oh also there is a little Greek cafe that does amazing homemade baklava amongst many other things. Worcester is actually pretty boss for a small city.
  9. Nice gaff the KC. Don't know if you've been to the Plough but well worth it if you're in Worcester. In my top five in the UK, proper parlour pub style but always three incredibly well kept beers, usually one hoppy, one trad and a dark. Good bottles and German stuff on keg. Small beer courtyard that's always busy in the summer. Landlord has been there forever. Endearingly grumpy.
  10. Was that at the Plough?
  11. Pint of Hobsons Twisted Spire at the Blue Boar in Ludlow. Very well kept, nothing exciting but inhaled three in an hour. Lovely black and white pub in a charming, foodie market town.
  12. Or had I... this was the mid 80s.
  13. Off to spend a day boozing in Brum next Thursday and then going to see The Oyster Band and June Tabor. My parents had friends in Herefordshire and we used to go to the Bromyard Folk Festival every year when I was child. Oyster Band were always playing. This means I'll be seeing them live for the first time since I was about 10. Proper nostalgic vibes, although of course I hadn't had 10 pints back then.
  14. Thanks, I have never even heard of shopto so some good advice! I'll check it out.
  15. Hello friends. After many years away from gaming I have just bought a PS5, previously been an Xbox owner but want to play some of the exclusives like Last of Us etc that I've never had a go on. What's the best subscription service for me? The nearest equivalent to the Xbox version with lots of free games? I am right in thinking I need the middling subscription?
  16. Yes but is he as good at sucking Cooper's nob as Ayew? Stats please.
  17. I do agree on the salary thing tbf as it's not necessarily an indicator of quality but that aside I still think this squad has far more quality than we are seeing. The argument works both ways, so yeah we've lost good players but our recruitment has actually been pretty good I think. Even on a budget, I am thinking Mavs, Fats, Hermanson, Winks, Skipp, Okoli, Facundo - the jury is still probably out on anyone we signed this summer but I still think this is a squad who should not be that near the bottom three.
  18. It wasn't all negative. Made a couple of cute passes in tight spaces. Tried to press but frankly our press today was a fvcking embarrassment. Not coordinated, not hunting in packs. Everton played around it with ease first half. Clearly he's got a lot of room for development but Christ let's give the lad a chance.
  19. This argument might ring true if we'd been in the Champs for a while. We haven't. We went down with a squad that had the 7th highest wage bill in the Prem. We also spent liberally in the championship and we have spent again this summer. This squad is more than strong enough to finish higher than 17th, without the points deduction.
  20. Stepped up to the Prem with ease. Baller.
  21. I've broadly agreed with you about the hysteria on here (as usual) but let's be honest today was a rank performance, as you say the worst and the most worrying. And there are a few emerging themes that are very, very concerning. I really don't think Justin has been very good, yet Ricardo can't get a look in. The game was crying out for Fats and yet Ayew stays on the pitch sacrificing our most dangerous player instead. Skipp has been better than Winks imo. Winksy has been great for us since he joined but we needed Skipps hustle today, even off the bench. Cooper's team selections and in game management seem timid and confused. Presumably Vesty leaked that stuff to the press about Cooper hence he's disappeared. But today we were crying our for some composure at the back, someone who can pick a pass. I'd play Vesty and Okoli against teams with less pace. Faes was back to being a bomb scare today. We appear to have no patterns of play, a dreadful Everton side dominated us in the first half and the second half was essentially just a mess in which as the home side we created a few bits and pieces but still looked far from coherent. There seems to be no progression so far under Cooper and that's what is worrying me most.
  22. What the fvcking fvck has Ayew got on Cooper?
  23. Not bringing Fats on is a crime I won't be forgiving Cooper for any time soon.
  24. You can start another thread about it later mate
  25. I cannot find one positive in this performance.
