  1. Just a few observations 25mins in: - We're more keen to move the ball forward and have a more direct mentality rather than passing back and sideways. - We look more active when defending, possibly focusing on this under Cooper. - Midfield is looking to run quickly forwards with the ball rather than passing backwards. 0-1 up, a lot of positives so far and I must admit I'm quite happy for what I'm seeing compared to the absolute boredom last season even though I'm not the biggest fan of Cooper.
  2. I reckon there are a lot of hidden agendas/issues within the team and how FA operates. We can start by certainly agreeing to these: - Good generation of players. - A lot of talent in the offensive end not so much at the back but still decent except LBs, though the issue with LBs is pretty much worldwide in football. That said, why the journos spread rumours about Wiegman? Is this national team a contender of San Marino, Luxembourg and Liechtenstein? Historically national teams all over the world managed to attract big names. Ffs even Greece had Rehhagel and Ranieri. The issue is FA and all current big managerial names know this. Klopp, Guardiola, Ancelotti etc don't want a stupid bureaucrat over their head telling them what to do. This team is not different to a club under the likes of Ashley, Marinakis, Levy, Jesus Gil etc. England won't win anything until FA realises their job ends by appointing the best manager for a nation which is a FOOTBALL nation. Releasing on the media names as Carsley, Howe, Potter, Wiegman is absolutely laughable. Why don't we appoint my wife then? She explained to me the handball rule inside the box. I still don't understand but whatever. She's a doctor, she knows better about these "modern" football rules.
  3. Just a few millions per year. Poor souls. I feel for them.
  4. I must have been watching another game then. You're just accepting mediocrity and you sound like an FA technocrat/politician. You can also wait for a couple of days and probably the bond/spirit claim will be debunked by some players.
  5. This is a very simplified approach/logic. Spurs had at times the quality to win a trophy. They didn't because this guy was nowhere to be found in all games that mattered most. It happened also with Bayern, it's happening all the time with England. It's not a coincidence.
  6. This. Vardy was (is) a better, more successful and proper team player. It's not just been unlucky or cursed. Kane is simply not good enough to win trophies. There's nothing wrong with that, we just need to acknowledge and accept the facts.
  7. Klopp will drop Kane, Walker, Trippier, Bellingham and probably Rice. No way FA and the corrupted journos will allow this to happen.
  8. Don't worry guys. Southgate will get another lucky draw in the WC and he has more time now to perfect these Liechtenstein tactics. Kane is also young, he'll lead this team for another 3 tournaments at least.
  9. He needs to come off and get also out of the stadium. While you're at it he needs to go to the bin.
  10. He's thinking about it. Probably against San Marino in February 2025.
  11. Brilliant game of football this. I've lost count of the shots off and on target.
  12. At this point I don't even know why we open a new thread. We can just edit a previous one.
  13. Otto Rehhagel must be proud watching this. Come on Greece! Oh wait.
  14. South Korea and Ghana are definitely better teams than Slovenia and Slovakia.
  15. Oh I forgot this guy is playing and he'll never win a trophy. So it's 0x0=0 My prediction for tonight then: 6-1 Spain.
  16. Tbf in WC there are just a couple more actual big competitors for the trophy, Argentina and Brazil with the odd surprise by hosting nations like Japan. Historically I would say I've enjoyed more the Euro tournament with some exceptions like Mexico 1986.
  17. I have a PhD in Counterfeit Science from the Control C&V University of Bogota. My prices start from £9.99 depending on the team status of a player. Free delivery.
  18. The issue is that the game doesn't have an option to save mid match. If you decide to take a break for around 10-15 minutes you risk losing right away your momentum and rhythm. Game isn't a full sim, it's more a simcade but most fundamentals of the sport are done right here imo. Psychology, momentum, rhythm and shot returns tactics play a major role. If you get frustrated and lose your patience during a match you're absolutely done especially in late rounds in Grand Slams. In fact after the 4h match I was completely drained and this is just a tennis videogame. Fair play to all these pros managing even 5h+ matches in real life.
  19. I got the game since the early release and haven't stop playing it for months now. I'm playing with real tennis format in career so some matches might last 2h+, I had a Grand Slam semi final at nearly 4h which was exhausting. If you love tennis and if you're playing or played tennis irl you should get it imo. I don't play sports videogames online because of the meta and toxic players who sadly don't play for entertainment. Career mode has some balancing issues with the energy feature until you grind a bit, buy homes and hire/upgrade specific coaches. That said, you might be Top 10 and still not have access to Grand Slams which is stupid but unfortunately this is modern gaming now with greedy devs ruining everything like politicians. Licenced roster is also very limited, they'll add more players though. Overall, it's the best AAA tennis videogame since TS4. Your other options are either Tennis Elbow or Full Ace. Just stay away from the Big Ant games which have abysmal gameplay.
  20. Song of the year possibly?
