  1. The fact is Ipswich are trying to reduce the huge gap in quality by making constant runs and fighting hard for each ball. So well done to them. Is it going to be enough for a result? Maybe not but this is what we need to do also on Monday and every week.
  2. What's the alternative then? Park the bus and still lose 3-0?
  3. Fair enough, this was my question. I'm also one of the pessimistic ones but I still think we have a range of players who will at least try to keep the pace needed for this league. Luton did it last season at some degree. I might be wrong and we go down with a bang on 12pts but I think we might be able to take advantage of the naivity which comes with this high pressure tactics deployed by the majority of teams.
  4. PL is improving compared to what? Compared to previous PL years, to Championship, to other European leagues, to Leicester? I watched the game and I saw 2 teams leaving huge gaps everywhere, especially Man Utd had no midfield at all. PL was always fast paced so idk what you mean about improvement. Have you watched the Real Madrid vs Atalanta game? Forget about Real Madrid, if Man Utd or Fulham play Atalanta we're talking about 6 or 7 nil humiliation easily. Yes, PL is entertaining but I can't see how any team here apart from Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool can be competitive against teams like Atalanta.
  5. I'm also desperate for a good striker. I'm just posting my opinion because I know this greek league well enough and I know greek footballers, their mentality, strengths and value. We simply can't spend £23M for a greek FW. It's out of the question.
  6. Their fans will just take anything 10M+. Player is overrated and overvalued anyway but there's a lack of FWs and STs everywhere. Because I see my posts caused a bit of "upset", I'm not denying Ioannidis has some decent stats. This is though completely different to my views of the player and my in depth knowledge of Greek Superleague last season. Why don't we go after Lorenzo Moron of Aris Thessaloniki? Max 4M, prolific scorer, better movement than Ioannidis and he could fit into our style of play easier.
  7. OK then. See you in a couple of months. Reports from Greece say Panathinaikos will accept the offer and the player will join us after their Ajax 2nd leg game next week.
  8. Remember what? This player can't play in any PL team. Rudkin or whoever is responsible for this farce should be immediately sacked. Are you all aware we're offering nearly the same money we accepted for KDH? For a Greek (!!) rubbish FW?
  9. Agents games which have skyrocketed the price of this player. They're doing this since the January transfer window. Even the fans of Panathinaikos know that 27M is a bizarre price and they now want the player gone at this offer.
  10. He's proper rubbish mate and I have a better picture of the player than the most here. I have dual citizenship and I'm following the Greek league. He's a 3M player max, there's no way he can play in PL. He might be decent for a mid table team in the Dutch league. Paying 27M for a Greek player is absolutely mental. It's shocking. Not only we have a completely inept manager, we're also willing to throw millions on crap players. Idk wtf is going on. Shambles.
  11. This season is over before it's started. Man City is 10 classes above everybody else. Arsenal 2nd and below them there's a chaos of totally unstable teams with laughable managers. Enzo will be sacked before Christmas conceding 3 goals average. Liverpool will play their naive tactics without a top manager in charge. ETH already said winning trophies isn't his priority, he probably thinks he's managing Coventry. Spurs will be Spurs while their manager will try to introduce an offside line in the opposition box. "Mid" table Villa will focus on their European tour doing a last season Newcastle. The latter will finally understand that nowadays having billions won't attract big names to the city of Newcastle because it's not London. The "butchers" who run the club need to invest in the city and make it like Vegas. This way Grealish will be their first big signing. West Ham will be alright happy in mediocrity. Wolves will continue their "agents" seasons. Brighton will win some and lose some. Bottom table Forest will also continue their "agents" seasons with Marinakis chasing the refs inside the toilets. Everton and us will spend more time appealing for deduction points and talking about it. Ipswich will play some great attacking football but shockingly will be relegated because Luton did the same and, oh well, they got relegated. Southampton will lose a game 9-0.
  12. This athlete is banned by IBA. There are certain rules and whatever you're claiming has no grounds at all. The comparison with Phelps is absolutely ridiculous.
  13. You'll hear a lot of opinions defending her/him, some of them are valid in a way that we're not talking about a TS person but intersex. There are some undeniable facts though: - This athlete was banned by the IBA and the ban still stands for legal valid reasons. - There've been numerous checks on her/him and every single one found out the testorone levels sky high. - The Greek Federation of Boxing had already made an official protest about this 2 years ago. This was not known until a couple of hours ago. The Olympic Federation has acted unlawfully and if this continues it won't be long until we have a severe injury or even death. If I remember well a girl is currently with brain paralysis after a TS person spiked a ball on her head in a volleyball match.
  14. I'm not arguing. I'm trying to understand how someone French can find what happened acceptable. I can see now there's some huge backlash on media though so I don't think the French are happy with it.
  15. What was their point? Humiliating their history and the roots of these games as they were established and based on certain Hellenic values? This was a disgrace and I can tell more if you want about certain aspects as they were shown in this farce.
  16. I guess her SPS wasn't that severe because there's no way someone with SPS to be in such a good condition.
  17. It was the intro from Gaspar Noe's Climax, Supernature by Cerrone mixed by Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter.
  18. Rain has nothing to do with the artistic direction though.
  19. Yes London 2012 was excellent too. Any Olympic Ceremony that celebrates history is good. This one day was a disgrace. A cheap fiasco, another Eurovision crap show. Dreadful.
  20. Not all of them though. Athens 2004 opening ceremony was a masterpiece.
  21. It's slower than my kebab takeaway.
  22. Guys this surely must be a parody and the proper ceremony is tomorrow?
  23. Wtf is this? I'm speechless.
  24. This is worse than Eurovision.
  25. I get better sound when streaming football games from the Zambian 3rd division.
