Why they just don't fully get rid of this stupid rule? I know incidents like the one yesterday were given a penalty before and refs/VAR will award a penalty again for the same after the international break but it's just stupid. Just award a penalty when there's a clear scoring opportunity. For decades it worked perfectly like this.

Indeed he does but the fact is he's in a scoring position and with a positional advantage over Burn.
-
How was that not a penalty for Everton? Even if the attacker's leg goes into the defender's one he's obviously in a far better position and in a better angle than the defender. Am I missing something here?

I'm Cooper out since I was born but I'm delighted we won. Team is above any person who baptised himself as a football manager and tricked others to give him millions for doing nothing. -

The only positive is that we only need another 5-6 wins like this to stay up this season. It seems 24pts we'll be enough to finish 17th. -

Can't be match fixing because of the timing. Meslier had other "chances" in the 2nd half if he was involved in match fixing. It was just lack of focus and concentration combined with his awful GK skills. He's simply not a good GK. Some fans defend him because he makes some nice reflex saves from time to time but the truth is everyone is capable to do these spectacular saves even in Sunday league. His positioning, box dominance, ball handling are awful. -

Sorry? It's not the first time. If Meslier is a GK then Cooper is an elite manager. Like BR. -

What's the financial situation with Leeds? Will they be in more trouble if they won't get promoted this season? -
Bayern fans are fuming. Kompany is getting the sack either tomorrow morning or after they lose again against Frankfurt on Sunday. He's done either way.

There's no such thing as Scottish football. It's non existent. Like Martians.
-
Under this format they might be able to reach the first playoffs/KOs and the lack of depth will cost them in PL. Unless you think Tielemans can maintain this lack of intensity for 60 games in the season.
-
It's not surprising. One team has 2 nobodies as a manager and striker and the other has signed one of the most overrated clowns in the history of football.
-
They had to "respond" to the Superleague plans, didn't they?
-
This is what happens when you sign OnlyFans players.

Bayern are coming undone.
-
Both Cooper and Maresca aren't football managers. They're just planted into the sport and promoted under certain agents and through specific acquaintaship.
-
Afaik yellow cards can be issued on dead balls/situations. It was a yellow card. This Romanian ref is atrocious and known for his inability to control games. Not only the new format is a joke, officiating is also subpar. They're trying their best to kill football for the masses. It will become a sport for YouTubers, Instagramers, OnlyFans.

I thought about it a lot of times and I'm not even mad. In a different era we might have been able to build a dynasty or at least stay on top 4 by keeping all our star players. This is not sustainable in modern football for various reasons (players, location, financial rules etc, the list is long).

Bayern is even worse than last season imo. It doesn't matter if Kane scores 100 goals, the whole team's structure is unstable. Kane might go to Celtic next season to win a trophy under an elite manager.
-
Being a Celtic manager is the equivalent of winning 5 times in a row in your life the Euro Millions. You can put Kim Yong Un as a manager there and he'll win it or worse case scenario he'll finish 2nd.
-
Elite managers achieve backgammon scores in football. It's all about multitasking.
-
They only lost 2-0 in the 2nd half. Obviously BR's half time talk had a huge impact.
-
They'll bounce back this weekend with an emphatic win against a village of 69 population somewhere in the Highlands. This is how elite managers bounce back.
-
Still time for another 3 goals. They could have scored 15 but they're just toying around out of pity.

Supermarkets close early in Germany.
