  1. It does highlight the importance of strengthening certain positions in January (CM). Praet won’t rush to get fit when he is almost a dead cert to leave on a free in the Summer. Ndidi will be off in ACON….Rudkin can be trusted can’t he? 👀
  2. I think that seems to be sentiment more than anything. Trust me, I love Vardy and will likely be my favorite ever player for a very long time BUT there comes a time when both the club and Vardy himself need to move on.
  3. As others have said, Mowbray’s trying to play mind games, get his excuses in early. I still get nervous before every game but loving Enzo’s flying start and great use of the squad so far, it’s crazy that I am thinking that Hamza comes in and that doesn’t scare me, his pace could turn out handy and can see coming in for JJ who still needs his minutes managed.
  4. This is kind of true mate. That horrible video of Youri carrying a caravan on his back whilst tracking back against West Ham highlights the lack of athleticism gets punished anywhere across the pitch at times (at any level).
  5. Name any 19 year old winger that doesn’t blow hot and cold? I really like Fatawu and if Enzo (who my love keeps growing and growing for) thinks he can turn him into a monster winger then I’m more than excited about watching him grow as a player with all the raw materials in his locker.
  6. Sorry but more occasions than not….Jannik has shown that he isn’t intelligent enough to sniff out danger (when he can see the whole pitch as the central/sweeper CB) and often finds himself in questionable positions that then heighten his complete lack of mobility. Look at defenders who CAN defend that don’t have pace, they read the game so much better than Jannik, he has been great in the high possession football but when his defending gets questioned, he has often shown he leaves a lot to be desired.
  7. To be fair, based on his appearances this season….Hamza has been solid and showed me what I miss from JJ/Ricky P (post injuries) and it’s that afterburner of pace, I know football isn’t FIFA but such an assist to have.
  8. I am bored of repeating it myself but will say it again….Jannik and Coady playing together in a three is last resort surely. Playing in the middle of a 3 rather than the wide CB roles is a completely different skill set. Surely Enzo will have had numerous conversations with Faes about his state of mind? Would prefer to see Hamza and one of Jannik/Coady personally.
  9. It’s definitely a slow news day when we’re judging one of our young players wanting to experience international footie 🙈 Any additional experience can only be a positive thing.
  10. Very tidy finish and hopefully he can show a bit more confidence in that department for us. As others have stated, he’s a smart little player and should be able to make the step up to the PL (especially a year under Enzo).
  11. This. With the cost of living crisis/more people relying on food banks, a horribly expensive waste of money. I’m sure Jamie/Wayne just want it all to be forgotten about.
  12. Perhaps a better way to put it, is that the perception appears to be that way? An example for me, was Top’s PR/puff statement post relegation but I then can acknowledge Top (or whoever it was) hired Enzo which appears to be a very shrewd appointment. I would just love to have confidence in the board but have doubts particularly next season when hopefully trying to (re) cement ourselves as a PL club.
  13. So it’s normal to accept in your own words “a complete f up” and expect different results with the same people steering the ship? I’m sorry but I don’t prescribe to the motion that it’s ok not to speak up, the running of our club has been amateurish for quite a long time and I’m not calling out KP just merely stating that if lessons aren’t learned then our current success won’t be built upon, which is surely what any fan wants?
  14. Agree totally about worrying about things in our control. I just would love for the board to show some action on what will be remembered as the season a club (that we all love) was relegated from the PL with the highest ever wage bill.
  15. It is possible to enjoy what Enzo is doing and still have doubts over Rudkin/Top’s most recent track record. If lessons particularly about wage structure/scatter gun approach on recruitment haven’t been learnt then we will deservedly yo-yo between the PL and Championship.
  16. For me, it’s similar to a relationship that ends on a sour note, you tend to remember the break up more than the good times. So yes, he (could argue rightfully so) would most likely get boo’d for his huge part in our relegation.
  17. You could argue that this was a very easy task. Look at how many pundits are claiming that Madders for the price is one of the recent bargains in football. I know about his contract situation and being relegated impacting his price but Madders was clearly a player that had admirers so not sure any real credit can be given to anyone at the club.
  18. Like many others have said, I was extremely nervous how we’d start the season and Enzo and his team have been very impressive so far. How we respond to our next loss, drop of form from key players will be interesting to see pan out BUT one thing that can’t be underestimated by Enzo so far is his utilisation of the squad, under Rodgers we regularly had 5/6 player’s completely frozen out.
  19. I can’t ever see Enzo (through choice) starting Coady and Jannik together, they’ve definitely not got the attributes to play the wide CB role.
  20. Or Coady for his England squad inclusions? 👀
  21. Has Beckham signed for Madrid yet? 😜
  22. Easy, in the PL there wouldn’t be a single side that would fear us like they do in the Championship aka they wouldn’t park the bus. Any side that presses us from the front to a half decent standard with Jannik having to run towards his goal highlight not only his lack of pace but (this has been evidenced this season itself) how poorly he positions himself knowing he will get beat in a foot race by 95% of strikers. I’m all for his redemption story and think he’ll play an important part this season but all you have to do is watch any PL game over the years to see the huge gulf in class/style of football.
  23. I totally agree with focusing on the now and merely challenging what appears a growing theme on here about offering Jannik a new deal based on this season. However, next season if we get promoted we wouldn’t have a single team park the bus. Which is when Jannik running back towards his goal would highlight his frailties, watch the Cov game back to see how easily exposed he was as recent evidence is what I’m trying to highlight.
  24. Playing as the Manchester City (Enzo has said this numerous times) of the Championship suits Jannik with so many clubs parking the bus. Not a single club in the PL would give us anywhere close the same level of respect so Jannik’s flaws would be much more evident. As I keep saying, appreciate the now and let him go and get a signing on fee somewhere else (if) we do get promoted.
  25. Surely he will look at Braybrooke first?
