The sad reality is that we probably won't have a winger in our starting 11 as good as Abdul for years.
-
Winks’ known interesting choices since Enzo left/passive performances, have been more of the “norm” than his good performances under Enzo. Not saying you’re wrong about how quickly fans turn on players, but Winks as an example is a very odd take.
-
Why is he still here? Hopefully there are no curveballs and he sets off into the sunset to never be spoken about again. He has zero endearing qualities!

It’s almost as if we never learn. I just hope that we have signed him on League One wages, as that’s our current reality. Put in loads of performance related bonuses such as promotion etc. -
We have scouts? 👀
-
All the talk about him not being at training yet he still got some minutes yesterday. I actually want him out of the club so badly, RM football and Okoli is a recipe for disaster.
-
Spot on. A Braindead moment, like you say, he was off balance but was in control of the situation. Take an extra touch and play a simple 5 yard pass to the keeper. I’d have been annoyed if did that in a Sunday league match.
-
Okoli’s lazy back pass 😱
-
That sums up the player, but I have a genuine question: Is Jannik doing this, or is it worse when players like Faes and Winks hang on just to get a big loyalty bonus?
-
How many clubs offer 30+ players a deal longer than 2 years? Simple answer, they don’t! Yet we did exactly that with Jannik and Reid. Another example of a Rudkin disaster-class!

Monga to Man City £10 Million - Official.
SafewayFox replied to Aus Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
£10m upfront for potential is actually good for both parties. We have zero leverage, £10m for Man City is like the average person dropping a fiver behind your couch. Zero credit however should be given to KPFC/Rudkin as Monga is hardly a hard sell. How/if we move on the dossers like Winks/Faes etc will be the making of our season, not this easy cash in. -

At this rate the fictional team, Harchester United are more likely to sign a professional footballer than us. -

Are any of those genuine strikers though? Edouard perhaps but that’s a shocking list, also scarily when in either the PL or Championship. -
The latest post “Ending the week strong” whilst playing rondo is triggering. If these unprofessional dossers put in such pathetic running numbers as last season, I think that I could actually be finished until KPFC sell up.
-
The 2 games that he was available for. I really like Souttar but we don’t have the luxury of hoping that he stays fit. He’s had a pretty good WC so hopefully as others have said, we break even and make our money back on him. Add it to the list of “could have beens”.
-
Souttar is no different to 95% of the squad, if an offer comes in that doesn’t entail a huge loss, will likely be considered. We’re cooked when think of our woeful finances.
-
He’s also an absolute liability in the air. He’s built like a tank but has the winning dual stats of a Fiat 500!
-
Great shout. I sound like a broken record but the head of fitness should have serious questions after last season’s diabolical running stats!
-
Some positive steps but as others have said, still no GK coach. Plus is Reeves staying on or will his role at least be reduced?
-
Someone moaning about other people moaning 🤷🏻♂️

After every relegation and embarrassment, we all know that the club will undertake an independent and thorough review. #keepthefaith

Still no news on his backroom staff. How many “internal reviews” are we due now? Yet, we still keep the set of coaches for accepting the highest paid but laziest bunch of dossers in the Championship last season. I genuinely can’t forgive anyone involved in those awful running stats last season. -
I’d love to find the stat but before he was injured in his PL season, didn’t he have the highest successful take on’s from a player outside the top 6? The way that some people describe Abdul on here blows my mind. If anyone was using the same vitriol about Stephy, I totally get it. Look at Abdul’s numbers, they were pretty impressive with so much room to grow too.
-
It’s like an oven out there so will let it slide but if you scroll up, my full comment was - “Abdul let himself and us down with performances at the end of the season, but he’s clearly one of our better players.” My original point stands, I get the anger towards everything LCFC related, I feel the same. Yet, as some others have posted, Abdul will be playing at a higher level than us for the next 5 years at least. The stark reality is that he is our only senior professional we can realistically make a decent profit on.

Toxic club - an inconvenient truth about our fans
SafewayFox replied to LeePhilpottsBaldSpot's topic in Leicester City Forum
Sorry, what part was not easy to understand. If you read my message exchange with @smudgerfox which has been done respectfully, even though we have different views. I merely answered his question about any evidence in the “we make lazy agent signings rather than scout like other clubs”. So highlighting that all of our loan signings were made on deadline day (summer and winter window) suggest agent signings rather than due diligence and scouting.
