What are you on about mate? 𤯠I was merely asking a question about the post I replied to, itās pretty easy (commented 100ās of times on here already) that a back three of Vesty, Coady and Faes is way too slow to play the way we want to, even more so in the PL. Do you actually read the posts or just pick one to randomly rant on?
-
Which for a player of his PL experience, wages and a club thatās won 17 out of 21 games is a poor return surely?
-
What an exciting player Fatawu is. He wouldnāt look out of place starting week in, week out in the PL would he? Surely thatās Enzoās thought process come Feb/March - which starting 11 players need replacing if we do get promoted this season?
-
Great post as always mate. The question isā¦..who will be our Walker? JJ pre-injury perhaps but he isnāt as rapid as Walker and his ability on the ball might not be up to scratch IMO.
-
Morning Ipswich lurker š All joking aside welcome and a good post but the bit in bold is the only part that I struggle with in modern footballā¦.sadly money talks. Whilst the 3 relegated sides as an example will simply offer more wages so will still be a more attractive option regardless of the coach in situ.
-
Iāve been Hamzaās biggest critic over the years but my last few posts on him (this season) have been extremely favorable. People say about JJās pace (which he has lost a couple of yards since his injuries) BUT donāt credit how much Hamza adds to the back line with hisā¦by far our most mobile defensive player.
-
I kinda get what youāre saying but Vardyās technique is actually quite good, you donāt score some of his goals (Liverpool, Spurs as a few examples) with a poor technique. Iām not denying Stephy could improve his shooting technique but wouldnāt bet on it and doubt youād see him score some of those above goals.
-
Sadly that is a technique thing, not hating on Stephy but thatās the sort of thing that you learn growing up not at 25. In a weird way, he hits that shot cleaner and it doesnāt go in.

Firstly welcome, I never get the point of being frosty to non fans. HOWEVER, if you know that the notable player element of your review causes fuss, why do it? Genuine question other than that, itās not my type of thing to read but good luck with your other ground hopping reviews.
-
Ohhh, Iām not calling you out on Under and totally agree about him as the less game time took place he seemed to take silly pot shots etc. More commenting on my dislike for Rodgers.
-
I know Iām in the minority but Under actually had some good moments for us, his assist to Vardy against Arsenal as an example springs to mind. If Rodgers wasnāt (well Rodgers) I think Under would have been half decent in the PL.
-
We could dissect the goal, Kelechiās contribution until the cows come home. It was a great footballing moment for us and hopefully the catalyst to some favourable games coming up š¤š»
-
I hope this is my favourite post of the festival period š¤
-
So youāre saying that he has played to his full potential this season though mate? Iām genuinely curious as someone who thinks Kelechi is overrated on here, believes that he has been below average in more games than not.
-
You mean the statistic that was based on him scoring 12 goals for Man City in 38 games before not scoring again for them in the PL (thanks Wiki). Whilst impressive, it also has the world beating Adam Le Fondre not far off (also based on 12 goals). When will we admit that Kelechi has had a purple patch (as others have said when playing with no fans) but in the main has been average (in overall contributions) at best for us. Whilst it was OTT, when he came on under Puel, the jeers were real throughout the KP.
-
100% this. It was good seeing so many players looking hungrier than they have in recent games. Hereās hoping that we kick on nowā¦.no mid week game so some recovery time and hopefully keep the chasing teams on their toes with 3 points next weekend.
-
Which for the first 2 seasons also saw us play some of the best football that Iāve ever witnessed us play as a club. Merely pointing out that Enzo CAN mix things up with the current players at his disposal.
-
Yet people āfearing him leaving us for the premā after 10 games didnāt get the same passive aggressive posts. Iām not saying Enzo out but have we not learnt from recent seasonsā¦itās ok to question certain decisions/tactics.
-
I thought the signing was quality and his pre-season āin game leadershipā only made me certain that I was right. Sadly, heās looking to be a very expensive cheerleader, I hope that Iām wrong now and just needs a run of games but hardly a good time for that to be needed.
-
I like Enzo, I really do but his stubbornness and/or fear of losing control of the game is starting to limit our play. I know that modern day managers seem to hate the idea of āend to end footballā but the way almost every build up seems overly coached means that oppositions are likely to know how to coach against our patterns of play. Ask the players to take calculated risks rather than almost being restricted to areas of the pitch during certain passagesā¦.predictability is creeping into our current set up.
-
JJ has been poor to average a lot more than he has been excellent if had to rate his time with us. Sad as before his first injury, he was looking to prove quite a few doubters wrong but heās lost a yard (maybe 2) of pace and like any player that relies on that, on top of a formation that doesnāt ask for him to make any positive 30/40 yard overlapsā¦.what you get is the JJ thatās on full show.
-
To the one poster who is most likely related to Enzo and seriously defending the past half dozen games. Here is my answer to your āwhat other plansā. Variation, make the opposition think. Weāre so predictable with zero width other than our wingers, who more often than not are receiving the ball with their back towards goal. Drop Ricky P back into a back 4 meaning our FBās can overlap (happy that even go lopsided and focus on one side if being cautious). With our current set up, we could easily play a 10 minute period as follows - Mads Ricky P, Faes, Vesty, JJ Winks, Ndidi Fatawu, KDH, Stephy Vardy Or drop KDH to a more traditional 433 and play the wingers almost a yard a side off Vardy and give the opposition something to think about. How many times over the years have pundits highlighted how close a well functioned/successful team have their forward players within a few yards of each other, all whilst weāre playing too safe.
-
I donāt agree with the Ghezzal comments in the slightest BUT kinda see the ācurrently lacks end productā debate. However, Fatawu is 19 has all the raw ingredients to be an extremely successful PL player - I donāt think we can say that about a huge percentage of our squad. Letās not write off a player new to the country, 19 and super talented before a third of a season š
-
Not with Kelechiās current performances. Say if others did start scoring, very little of that right now is down to Kelechiās positive involvement. Itās ok for us to admit that he has had some valuable purple patches but similar to someone like Rashford (one good season in three) that his overall time here has been a disappointment considering his potential.
-
I know theyāre not mutually exclusive and I have been very vocal about Jannik next season (still am to a very large extent). BUT I think Iād actually be more annoyed at the club offering Kelechi a new contract at this moment in time. He has been below average at best.
