Aluko has played CB so far preseason, and played RB more than LB for our u18 and u21 sides on the whole though more recently at LB in the u21 setup. I think he's probably being considered for the whole backline tbh. Assuming he stays with us for the coming season of course.

So JJ is worse now than he was 2 seasons ago?

Last time out our left back options were Doyle and JJ. We're no worse off now. It's far from key.

The link is inevitable given he's left QPR, so he's both the right price and a known quantity to Cifuentes. But I can't see it. Just not the age or profile we want or need. I'd be more interested to see if we were to dip in for Esquerdinha, MC's last signing for QPR along with Harvey Vale. But then that'd cost money, so again... nope.

You can't find Aluko cos he's not on there. Nor is Monga. But if you're putting them in as the bench option, you pick any player, go back to the main player menu and edit the name. You can't do that for 1st choice players.

We don't need fullbacks unless we shift a decent number of our present options with a year left on their contracts.

He'll probably start over Fatawu who hasn't featured yet.

After a couple of friendlies and our youth looking promising. The above would do well at this level I think. Obvious area to make changes is that striker position. With a sale of Mads, who I've not included, you could use the funds of his sale to fund the striker positions. We've also got Evans as an option there. In fact Alves, Monga and Evans can all shift around as cover.

It's still very much just a fitness thing at the minute though. King said as much in his pre match interview. The tactical side of things will be for the new manager. So we'll be seeing that implemented some time in 2026.

Definitely a better passer of the ball. Doesn't have brain farts like Faes. It's just his glacial movement that's a problem. With Aluko emerging as a CB option this preseason so far, Nelson, Okoli, Aluko and Souttar when he's fit is good enough!
