There's not really too much use using past transfers as barometers a lot of the time. Kepa is the most expensive goalkeeper and he's gone to Arsenal for £5mill, probably as second choice. Onana cost €50mill and Utd probably want rid. Chelsea bought Petrovic, Jorgenssen and Sanchez all for around €20mill each but none of them are seen as the number 1 going forward, with Petrovic going to Bournemouth for a profit. The market isn't solely based on player ability or even perceived ability. Buying clubs desperation to buy, parent clubs desperation (or lack of) to sell, competition for the player, availability of similar options at the time. You can pull figures out your arse really. Lego figures. Action man is a bit much.

Neuer wasn't a Prem sale which we know automatically adds pants down tax. And that is somewhat proven by Leno, who subsequently flopped at Arsenal and went to Fulham for about 1/10th of that...

Both would make sense but as said that doesn't mean its genuine.

I think that's a likely outcome. Only downside seemingly is that Guiu is apparently development only and not loan with any buy option. Of course it's Chelsea so that could well just be bollocks in order to get a bigger fee when they agree to sell. But Chelsea haven't got a nailed on striker yet, Delap will have his chance this season, but it's still a position Enzo needs to suss out.

The issue with Daka, off the pitch, is that nobody else wants him. He has one year left on his contract. Anybody remotely interested in attaining his services will leave it for a year, see how he performs and then decide if he's worth a cheap pick up. The only clubs with any interest that wouldn't do that are clubs that''d need to get in on him now, in case he had a resurgence and then they're not the most attractive suitor. And those clubs don't have the money or inclination to take the chance on him now as it's too big a risk. He needs to start for us and blow the championship away in order to keep his career going at a decent level. If he has shit year for us, we won't renew, we might not even if he does ok, and then the chapter in his life of playing at the top level looks over. If he does amazingly well he might pick up a Premier League job as a squad option which he might chance on. But ultimately I don't see many outcomes where he stays with us, as whatever kind of season he has for us I'd suspect he moves away regardless. Which is why we need to get someone else in.
