I wouldn't take any comments about money to spend from any club at face value. You don't look to buy things and announce to sellers that you're loaded and money is no issue. We might be skint, we might be easily able to afford it, but we're not gonna tell Inter that we can do the deal, piece of piss, name your price.

The transfer to Hull just looks to me like a shop window exercise. I can't see the point from their perspective to loan him at a level he has already proved himself at. What do they gain from that? But having him perform and reignite interest might get them some offers in the summer. The whole "We want him for next season" is just bullshit offered up to not drive the price down due to them wanting rid. They'll want to make it look like they'd be reluctant to sell, but ok, but only if you offer £XXXmillion. Cos you know, we really want him. Honest.

I'm not so sure, I don't think he'd be getting much interest from clubs above us in the pecking order and the player has to want the move as well. So relegation fighting sides probably aren't all that attractive. He's also coming in off the back of half a season laid up through injury, which could make prospective buyers skeptical. He's not moving to one of the bigger clubs, he won't want to be in danger of relegation (though if it's a loan, maybe not bothered) and a lot of the middle pack are well stocked there (West Ham/Bowen, Palace/Olise etc). Could get a loan abroad. Bigger risk though. Also, he's just publicly shut down a site saying he's going to a Championship club on loan.
