That’s my point. Poor judgement is part of the game (any game) but the punishment is that it might lead to losing a point/goal/ race/match etc. There shouldn’t also be an additional punishment imposed by the ruling authority. i.e you don’t punish a poor pass by giving the opposition a penalty -

But making a poor decision isn’t a punishable offence. -

No we’re not because we oppose the current rules whereas the big 6 support them. -

Some people panicking on here but thankfully the club aren’t. Some people are even coming over all self righteous and backing the PL/EFL. Focus on promotion-feeding off a siege mentality-let our lawyers expose the anti-competitive PL/EFL rules for what they are and enjoy the drama. Leicester City are on the side of football outside the big 6 and I for one admire them for it. -

You’re really not listening are you? FFP and PSR punish good owners as well as bad. The idea is to punish the bad owners who recklessly mortgage their club up to the hilt it and then walk away when it collapses. Punishing the good owners just protects the big six. -
Club enjoys best period of success in its history Some fans look to blame someone

Nonsense. It may make you feel righteous to claim we are the victims of our own hubris but it doesn’t make it right. All clubs seek a competitive advantage but there is nothing moral about rules that protect the privileged and seeking to break through that privilege should be encouraged. Leicester’s crime was to refuse to accept the status quo and the football world applauded them for it. You blame the very owners who made that possible and in my book that makes you ungrateful. -
But it really isn’t a pretence. The PL and EFL have anti-competitive rules that effectively create a closed shop for the big 6. I think you underestimate the importance of our cause for the game as a whole. Yes of course clubs like Leicester could just accept the power of the big 6 and follow their rules but they have chosen a different route and fans of the game as a whole should be applauding them. Being tribal however, fans tend to celebrate anything that punishes another club even if the consequence is that their own club is kept firmly in its place.

The simple answer is no, if all the clubs aren’t in a national league the league itself is devalued. However, there is clearly a need for reform because the present rules are anti-competitive and therefore not in the wider interests of the game. Fans want excitement and that comes from genuinely competitive leagues. Leicester challenged the status quo so the status quo changed the rules but now Leicester are fighting back and this may become a cause celebre. To be clear, Leicester have not broken the rules of business-it’s very common for businesses to spend more than they earn in the short term and many corporate giants have built their entire business model on such an approach. They have broken the rules of the PL and EFL however. The question is whether those rules are fair and the outcome could have a significant impact on the game itself.

Bloody clappers…..moan moan….not like in my day….moan moan…..ground is rubbish…moan a bit more….plastic fans….more moaning…..rubbish atmosphere….even more moaning….something about coffin dodgers….moan some more….total embarrassment…moan moan….daft comment about goal music….generic moaning….silent fans…moaning for the sake of moaning etc. etc. until everyone stops moaning and just enjoys the football.

Of course it was a calculated gamble-it’ was the only way to grow the club. It didn’t depend on getting into the CL ,much as that would have helped, though it did depend on staying in the PL. Relegation was unexpected, given the squad we had, and definitely not part of the business plan. However, the club have a long term growth plan to increase their revenue stream via the expansion, hotel, performance arena etc. and this will eventually reduce the chances of it happening again. No plan survives contact with the real world intact and we’ve certainly hit a bump in the road but the overall strategy seems sound enough.

But we’re not playing Sunderland
-
Keep up
-
Ideally Yunus causes them problems down the middle so we don’t become too predictable down the wings
-
Obviously promotion is the first priority but a cup win would be amazing
-
Right you are then
-
But they don’t
-
We beat Bournemouth last week.
-
Which we did.

Pretty sure Leeds got very lucky against us.
