May I just say that I when I saw this topic title, I was disappointed that the original post was about PSR and the ābig sixā and not about this https://x.com/JoeHulbertNBA/status/1638727084041469954

What is the point of supporting a League One team when if one of your players does well, thereās a Championship club just waiting to swoop in and buy them? Why bother supporting a National League side when your best players wonāt be staying around if they get any interest from EFL clubs? etc.

Perhaps, but in the meantime Cifuentes has said that BDCR is injured and is some way from returning to training.

Nelson was a bomb scare at Huddersfield but you bet if our CBs are going to have horrible performances Iād rather watch Nelson make a few poor plays then watch whatever the hell that was from Vestergaard today. You can learn about positional play on and off the ball, but you canāt teach a lumbering veteran how to run faster. Commentator on my coverage actually said Vestergaard was āmoving through treacleā and that at least gave me a chuckle. Itās early, and plenty teams have gone through much worse starts and pulled themselves back up toward the top of the table in this division. But if this season is going to be a slog, then I would much rather this be a proper rebuild than having to watch the usual suspects and their lack of heart play through 44 more games. Hell, Iām not even sure how much more Iād like watching a lot of these players even if the team were grabbing a good haul of points!

Awkward moments abound this Sunday when the New York Foxes show up to the Football Factory to see all the scarves have been taken down and replaced by #TruthFromThailand banners

There must not be an entity in the world that can bungle selling merchandise to captive customer bases quite like King Power.

There will be a few GMs in late September ruing not making one last proposal to the Twins for Ryan. These last few days have been completely ridiculous on and off the field across the league. A wild deadline day (including perhaps the most in-demand closer getting caught up in a spot-fixing investigation, sorry @KingsX ), several walk-offs, and several absurd comebacks/meltdowns (no comment š¶) . On top of it all there will be perhaps 90,000 fans watching a baseball game played at a race track tonight on the same day that two games will be taking place at minor league parks. As much as I miss the way things used to be and have more than a few gripes with Rob Manfred, it feels like there is more drama and entertainment around the league at this point of the calendar now than there really ever used to be. The expanded playoffs, more logical trade deadline dates, end of post-deadline waiver trades, and reduction of September expanded rosters from 40 to 28 all contribute to this.

LCFC need to hire Twins GM Jeremy Zoll as a consultant to help them clean up their wage bill

Forget the beer; Cifuentes is Catalonian, so if the New York Foxes travel over to visit and see a game, I hope we are greeted with his homelandās customary greeting of water gun blasts to the face while we are ambling down the New Walk

Good shout on the ball, thatās actually decent

Iām aware that adidas (and other manufacturers such as Nike with their Total 90 reboot) are going back 20 years to find inspiration; I just wish they wouldnāt.

Piping/stitching down the sides and sleeves of shirts is a style I really hoped would have died 20 years ago, but alas.

If itās any consolation, I doubt anyone can read that text across that loud pattern from any sort of distance

Nigel did a couple of interviews in April when he said he was recovering from both back injuries and a āneurologicalā issue but I donāt think he got into specifics. Either way, glad he has been doing well all things considered and definitely hoping whatever prognosis he gets will be encouraging!
