  1. Tearful interview by Zach Johnson going in but I can’t be the only one that finds some funny irony whenever he’s saying “hats off” to his team/Luke Donald/Europe etc
  2. Somebody in red white and blue has gotta win something this weekend, heyyyy
  3. NBC commentary in the US really questioning Rickie’s decision to concede that putt to Fairway Jesus but come on guys, that hole was all Fleetwood’s. I guess it’s good to see a moment of sportsmanship at a big time (although the cattiness yesterday did add some belated drama to this weekend). Congrats and well done Europe… but **** you, ghost of Seve.😂
  4. Yeah, I am very interested in seeing what goes on at Hillsbrough tonight. 🎾
  5. I don’t know how we respond to Rahm just shutting Scheffler down today. Hovland turning from a very good golfer into a cold-blooded killer on the course this year is huge for you guys. I’m already broken, no way I’m getting up early to watch tomorrow, I’m sleeping in
  6. I can’t take two more days of this
  7. It’s on ESPN+ in the States
  8. This guy is so fun to watch.
  9. This one is less about how people see games and about how stats are collected as WhoScored. Faes won all 7 aerial duels he had yesterday and made 8 clearances, and defenders that rack up a ton of positive plays are going to get high marks on sites that have mathematical player rating systems. What’s strange to me is that Doyle is on WhoScored’s Best XI for the midweek games and yet the EFL replaced him with Longman in their TOTW. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  10. That play in the 2nd half when Norwich were counterattacking and Hamza saw he was out of Graham Scott’s view so he just hauled down whoever he was tracking (I forgot who) was absolutely outstanding. That’s the Hamza Choudhury we know and love.
  11. I’m starting to notice that Enzo loves describing good things as “unbelievable”
  12. I love how Wilf is really going all in on this whole becoming an attacking midfielder thing, as he’s even filling in the wannabe Instagram model void left when Maddison was sold.
  13. I should have expanded just a little bit and added more qualities about keeping possession and advancing the ball. After all, Doyle doesn’t have good passing stats, either, but does a good job helping the team keep possession and build into attacks (for that matter, so does KDH). I just get the feeling that until Maresca gets all of the pieces he wants, he’d sooner go for a more radical option in the Doyle role or even use Kristiansen off the bench in a remit similar to Choudhury vs Coventry than play Kristiansen regularly as the LCB/LWB. I dunno, I get the sense that attributes>experience when he weights his options.
  14. We’re a possession-based team and Kristiansen is not a good passer at all. It doesn’t matter what his strong foot is, there’s simply no place in our team for him. I would even guess there’s some chance that Maresca would rather play Albrighton or even KDH in that left side role in place of Doyle rather than Kristiansen if he really had to.
  15. This isn’t some random tango tune though, it’s “Bad Moon Rising” by CCR. edit to add that Argentina song was probably the most noteworthy fan song of the 2014 World Cup so it’s not like that one was picked up from an obscure continental ultras repertoire
  16. “That’s not in the spirit of breakfast” hahahahaha that’s part was pure gold
  17. If Coventry want to take up the role of the Washington Generals, I don’t see a problem with this at all!
  18. I thought this was hilarious in its pettiness, and it also led to the priceless moment of Jamie Vardy holding a mask of his own face.
  19. Ooh, I forgot about that! So there’s even precedent for us doing something like that with OHL.
  20. I think this would look fine if the KP logo matched the trim.
  21. Can we confirm that this was played as a proper game or was this a glorified joint training session? Pure speculation on my part, but I can see this being run differently (maybe 3 periods of 30 mins with a lot of squad rotation, maybe some designated time for both teams to take set pieces against each other, I dunno). edit: as @CosbehFox said, the flights to Thailand are already starting, so I’d also wonder if staff/coaches/player availability and the tight timetable dictated us running today in an unorthodox manner or not.
  22. Jordan

    Evans

Maybe whoever said that had just spotted a taxi arriving at Finch Farm.
  23. Oh, sorry—I should have specified in my post that this was for watching City games in the USA. Anyone outside the USA would need a VPN to access this but I’m not sure if going this route is the best way to go for non-Americans rather than Sky and stuff.
  24. If you don’t need Disney+ and Hulu, you can get an annual subscription to ESPN+ for $99.99 which will shave a few bucks off your totals.
  25. I’m presuming Man City have slashed their asking price for Steffen, and that he’s available because he’s easily attainable.
