  1. A fine player and a fine human being. If he continues on his coaching career, there will be a lot of players that will learn so much from him about how to comport themselves both on and off the pitch. 🫡
  2. Oh yeah, I was thinking the same thing!
  3. It looks like we’re going off of the Tiro 24 Competition Match template: https://amp.footyheadlines.com/2706342295728910128/ and it looks like the home shirt has darker blue detailing along the sides This template has some room for some other shading or patterns along the main “flare” trim down the sides but I can’t quite tell if we have anything else going on there. I’m a sucker for retro/throwbacks and even if I didn’t like the 2002-03 shirts when they came out, I would definitely get a kick out of the marketing talk for the release saying our kit is supposed to evoke the 02-03 one.
  4. Did the topic of data privacy come up when FT/UFS/LCFCSC met the club? If so, did the club give out any info about what companies they’re using to manage data gained from use of mobile tickets, whether the club/the e-ticketing company might sell this data, or anything else beyond what’s on the club’s current privacy policy?
  5. I downloaded the app just because it probably has a better UI/UX than the website where I’m always clicking on an article link, hitting back after reading an article, and then being taken back to wherever I was before I went to LCFC.com because the article opened in some sort of pop up window.
  6. Happy Terribly-Photoshopped Bad Concept Kit season to those of you that celebrate
  7. I remember Williamson but apparently nearly the exact same thing happened in 1965 with a player named Malcolm Clarke (who also didn’t touch the ball)! I wonder if anyone that was following the team in those days can settle the question of which player had the shortest career
  8. The away end and the game both looked and sounded delightfully drunk on TV. What a great way to seal the title!
  9. LCFC Help and the ticketing team today:
  10. Well, looks like Enzo was right after all! They had their huge game; we had our huge season. And after Leeds’ players took the piss out of Enzo for that comment, our club is giving it right back to Leeds and Leeds fans have completely lost their heads about it, which is something you can file under things you just love to see.
  11. We wore this season’s shirts vs West Ham on the final day. Like any retail production cycle our designs will have already been approved well before they go on sale, so there must be other reasons for them not being unveiled for Saturday if they’re not shown then.
  12. Where are the “WE’RE GOING UP!” banners? Do they not give those out anymore or are we getting them on Monday?
  13. I want the Old Farm in the Prem (although I suppose the best thing to us would be Vardy getting another trip to The Hawthorns)
  14. Still buzzing and will be for weeks… I’ll worry about PSR, VAR, and all that alphabet soup another day!
  15. Indeed—adidas’s templates this season are intentionally designed to evoke the 2006 Teamgeist look
  16. Topps is now owned by Fanatics and yep this definitely checks out as a very Fanatics thing to happen
  17. The underlined sentence is clearly and specifically about his playing career.
  18. I’m pretty sure @FoxyPV is right about this—goals plus assists. I’ve played in school leagues that had similar stats.
  19. I can’t quite explain, but this might actually be my all time top Khun Vichai moment at LCFC https://amp.theguardian.com/football/2016/dec/26/leicester-city-jamie-vardy-masks-protest-ban
  20. 1) the club’s 22/23 financial report isn’t out yet but from whatever the EFL saw earlier this season, there’s cause for concern 2) I’m no Kieran Maguire or Swiss Ramble so I have to hold my hands up and say I’m not really sure. But if the P&S rules stay the same, I’d have to think so because 21/22 was an awful financial year and 22/23 probablt isn’t going to balance this out.
  21. The allowable loss total is for a running 3-year period so Percy is reporting that we’re going to have to find ways to put some income on this year’s books to try to avoid being in trouble. We’ve already taken a massive loss two seasons ago, and we’re likely going to take another one for last season (which has the Maddison and Barnes deals on it), so it’s going to be tough to make up financial ground in a season in the Championship.
  22. Let’s sell Nathan Opoku to OH Leuven for £200m before the Premier League clamps down on the sweetheart multi club deals (Yeah I’m running out of ideas here)
  23. On the one-year anniversary of the tweet, too
  24. Just one thing for us all to keep in mind: Our 21/22 accounts had a £92.5m loss for just that season. City will be permitted losses of up to £83m over this 3-year period. While not every pound of that 21/22 loss will count towards the P&S thresholds, that year’s reports should be enough to suggest we’re going to need some magically good news in our 22/23 financial results, the concern the EFL showed from their sneak peek into this probably means we’re in some sort of trouble.
