Yeah I corrected myself above šš» The rest can go (maybe not Ricardo but injuries etc probably mean itās best).

Joe Marler logged it immediately. I wonder if he will run with that alongside the Jonathan push in the next episode.

Stolarcryk wonāt stay at second choice. He has waited his time to be first choice. He had interest in this league last summer so he could have a pick of sides where he will be first choice if we decide we are above him. Given we are now a mid table Championship club, no issues with Stolarcryk for me anyway. Itās more the drab style of play we need to address as with a competent defence in front, Stolarcryk is a good keeper at this level. Edit - irrelevant anyway as he is actually contracted to 2027.

I was quite young first time but I felt it was very instant. Obviously it was the lower level and we had players who whilst might have been struggling in the Championship, had good attitudes and fitted Pearsonās way as well as being too good for L1. Iām thinking players like Oakley, Howard, Fryatt. Then there was Tunchev who we knew was much better but had that bad injury. Lloyd Dyer came in new didnāt he. Players like Hobbs and Cleverley on loan. Berner, King Mattock, Gradel. The latter 3 were academy. So first time he had some good players but brought some good loans and as well as characters like Berner and Dyer in. Second time he came back in November and finished 9th that season (11/12) and the next season would have been the Watford play off one. So a season and a half and the one after we destroyed the league in such style it even made our side from 2 years ago look shit! God, looking back at the league one side makes me miss that squad and Pearson, when we were a serious club at least.

Thereās been interest before, back in January wasnāt it? Hoffenheim? The saving grace is thereās no PSR factor to cover so we could sell him for anything. Maybe thereās a scenario where this contract came with decent wage reduction that would make a sale easier? That could be good business sense if we sold for a small profit rather than him going for free. Just trying to make sense of it. Knowing how the club it run Iām probably well off and itās a huge pay rise

If he is picking his lines on this basis he has no business being a football manager.

Development/Youth Squads 2025/2026 Thread - U18/U21

Thought he was getting confused and getting his playing down with us mixed up then -
I reckon he has made it clear he wonāt re-sign. He was involved before the close of the window and apparently there were bids from bigger clubs turned down so he may well have made his intentions to leave clear. Will be interesting to see what happens in January.
-
Thatās because most of our fans are too busy defending Top for saving us from administration and getting us promoted from League 2 (direct words from KPFC cult members not me)!
-
Youāre right actually. I didnāt think he has but he has 6 seasons where he has 10 or more in the PL. 2 x 10 1 x 12 2 x 14 1 x 20 (last season) So although last season was an outlier, he has been fairly consistent which I didnāt realise. I thought his better scoring seasons were at Championship level.
-
Iām really intrigued to see what happens to him when he (hopefully but until they physically go I will never be confident after Vestergaard) leaves in the summer. If youāre a rational person, you can separate the complete disaster he has been for us whilst wondering what happened giving his form in Austria. I do believe that if you can finish as he did in Austria, it should be translatable so I do find it odd how bad he has been here. As I say, it will be interesting. If he goes elsewhere back in Europe and finds form again, it further evidences that this club over the past 5 years, going back to 2021 really and Rodgers, has been a complete pit. If he continues as he has been here, it makes Austria look like a purple patch, and/or he is permanently f***ed from his time here. I mean take Chris Wood, everyone knew last season was a purple patch at PL level but he has scored goals at Championship level fairly reasonably across his career. I just canāt get my head around someone who looked such a confident finisher where he was before to tripping over the ball every time he gets it. Itās remarkable in a bad way!

Millwall (A) 15:00 Sat 25th, Pre-Match
LCFCJohn replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Easy win for Millwall. Our lot havenāt got the stomach for it. -
The rotten culture comes from Aiyawatt. As owner, he could stamp authority and standards on the club, including the players, at any time he wants. They know they can get away with disrespecting the club and fans because the owner does the same.

I can see the initial reaction to thinking Nelson wouldnāt be worth more but yeah, younger, more in demand. Letās be honest, we could put Faes on the side of the street with a sign āfree to a good homeā (Iām not even bothered about it being a good home to be fair), and he would still be there at the end of the day!
-
Easily would have. A young English defender proven at Championship level could have gone for say Ā£10mill in the summer. Currently he is worth much less as his contract now has less than 2 years and he is clearly out of favour with us so any interested party would have us over a barrel. Can you imagine us even getting Ā£5mill for Faes? I canāt.

This is what makes me laugh about the argument it was āonlyā for Oxford! 1. They play the same 23 sides. Actually the league was tougher last year. 2. Itās more impressive to do it for Oxford as in theory, more defending to do for a promoted and inferior team (feels harsh calling even the Oxford team from last season inferior to us right now to be fair). The argument seems to be expectations which is bs for me.
-
I agree. Marti has lost me. Nice guy, really wanted him to do well but he committed down the āexperienceā route and it has backfired. Iād forgive the results/league position if we were future planning but he is doing nothing. Itās been suggested that it might be dictated to him. In that case, have some pride and backbone. But we know who the replacement will be if Marti is giving his orders in the near future and it will be a disaster. The fact we are inclined to keep our manager in place due to fear of knowing who the replacement will be and what will happen if that was the case is laughable itself. All on Aiyawatt.
-
Our position is definitely false. Most sides we have come up against have looked better than us. Most of our points have come from bits of individual quality. Autos are out the question for us and playoffs are less than realistic. We are very much a lower mid table side. I for one am extremely envious of the side you have put together.
-
I predicted 2-1 Hull and stick by that. False hope.
-
He wonāt be going anyway for a while. We know how slow they are to act. That said, I was positive about his appointment but he has lost me. The performances and results are awful, and we arenāt even gaining any long term benefit by playing our young players. He is offering us nothing.
-
Would explain why he has promptly gone to Rangers if we were!
-
Just keep him as far away from this team as possible for his own sake. Bringing him into the side at this point would be setting him up to fail.
-
Seems more people agree based on the reactions to my initial comment. He stopped the initial break away and then the rest of the defence did nothing to cover him and do their jobs is how I saw it. Maybe he caught have kept the interception under closer control.
-
He did. Iām just not having all that being on Thomas. He intercepted the breakaway initially and was then caught out of position but not due to lack of awareness or laziness. The whole defensive effort was shocking there.
