Soft mentality. Scared of making a mistake, if he doesn’t start well, you just know he’ll be anonymous all game. At least with tielemans he was still trying things, Barnes just terrified. Can’t think where that soft mentality comes from … 🙄

It’s a lack of desire. Not saying they aren’t trying but there’s no real hunger or desire to win. Players have grown bored of the “project” and want moves. It’s understandable, the Newcastle game was most evident. Tonight was exactly how we all knew it would go. Concede a shit goal, huff and puff, get no luck and lose. Worrying. This lot don’t have the stomach for a relationship fight. If madders stays I think we will be fine but from his point, why would ya?

People mention covid had a big impact on their finances and it did clearly. But even before covid, we relied on player sales to make signings. Realistically, if we want to be competing at the top end, we need more money being pumped in. Otherwise we will get overtaken and overtaken … until we end up in the champ. im not entirely convinced the club is being well run either. The one time they choose to invest 50m without a player sale, it ****s us so badly to the point we cannot make any signings and so very nearly break FFP. added to that, it’s demoralising when everyone else spends and we don’t!
