We would need to move on most of this current first team squad, because they won't respect someone like him. They all consider themselves better than the level they've taken us too🤔. If that happens then Challinor would be a good shout, he's managed over 800 games, done well at every club and knows League 1. He would probably jump at the chance to manager Leicester having spent his entire playing and managerial career in the lower leagues.

All the signs are we'll make the same mistakes as last pre-season going into the championship. I don't understand the lack of communication from the club and indecisiveness. We should have made a statement after the Blackburn game, thanked Rowett for his service and wish him well for the future so at least the fans know we're looking for a new manager. Instead we have this void, Rowett talking in after game interviews how he would like the job full time etc..... Ground hog day again that ends in relegation to league 2🤔
-
Don't understand why we're interested in Ferguson, he's only had 3 promotions in his long career, most recent being 20-21. Peterborough weren't good this season.
-
Yes, I agree we need a man manager and somebody who's able to reset the standards, create a team spirit and restore authority over the players. This current group of players seem to have gotten away with so much recently.

Nelson Jardim was Newport manager for season 24/25 finished 20th with no budget, are we saying he should be considered for the Leicester job?
-
Maybe but he's not ready for the Leicester job next season, maybe after another season if he gets Newport to the play offs. Wellens, Savage or Lennon are all much more experienced than Fuchs and ex Leicester but no one wants them.
-
He was very good up to the injuries and one good season under Maresca but we should never have offered him a contract extensions because the last 2 seasons have been woeful.
-
Presumably we still need to comply with PSR though? Although It doesn't exist in league 1, the wage bill is limited to 70% of revenue for relegated clubs. If we're promoted back to the championship then I expect we'll be back under the PSR rules. The last 3 year accounts and the £71 million loss for 24/25 will come into play then. At some point this board will have to stop spending, there is no escape from our losses.

King was a title winner, from the same era and also won league 1 and the championship but he didn't win a single game as a interim and was also responsible for the debacle of a pre-season for the laziest team in the league that resulted in a relegation because of it. Kingy's not done us any favours, there's no room for sentiment in football. Fuch isn't ready and won't get the job in a season we have to get promotion at the first attempt.
-
Its not the same club anymore
-
Hardly the same calibre, Fuchs 31 games 29% win percentage in his first job. If he wasn't a title winner and affiliated to the club he wouldn't even get a mention on here.
-
I've not got anyone in mind because I'm not a DOF. Hull City as an example, they got Sergej Jakirović from the Turkish league, and had managed Dinamo Zagreb before that. He's managed 342 games, 57% win percentage and got to the playoffs with a transfer embargo. We've a new director of football, he needs to earn his money and find someone similar, it's possible.
-
But we can still do much better than Fuch, he's not ready for Leicester yet.

In hindsight yes, but we would have failed PSR twice if it wasn't for the court win and have avoided bigger points deductions by fighting, but the team have been abysmal for the last 2 season which is down to Rudkin. We over spent trying to stay in the PL 24/25 but that squad was never going to be good enough. We should have recognised that, our pointless token gesture trying to support Cooper with the Skipp, Okoli and BEK transfers has put the club future at risk with another £71 million loss in the latest accounts. The club would have been naive to think that the PL wouldn't take that decision lying down if we won the case, and would try to get us in the future. So to fail PSR this season is a disgrace and beyond belief to be honest, we've made so many mistakes. I can't see how Rudkin and the CFO can keep their jobs never mind get promoted. Top is a cretin.
-
Plus lost £300 million in the last 5 years. We had the arrogance to avoid PSR punishment on a technicality, but failed to comply the following season by the transfer fee we paid for Skipp, incredible incompetence.
-
Thanks, I forgot to add Kristiansen to the list. Unfortunately I just don't see Top or Rudkin leaving yet. Top won't sell the club in league 1, unless he's forced to in administration, he'll want to get back to the PL to maximise his return. We're at a stand off, we support the team in the stadium and continue to protest against Top and demand Rudkin is sacked outside the stadium, but if we want promotion then fans have to get behind the team during games. If we have the same disconnect between fans and players as this season then we'll drop to league 2 IMO. League 1 is different to the championship, alot of players are signed on short-term contracts 1 or 2 years, there is a huge turnover of players in league 1 and 2. I think it will be possible to pick up the right characters on a free to play for Leicester in this league, provided we appoint a manager quickly and start planning in May instead of wasting months as usual.
-
IMO we only have a chance of winning the league if the disconnect between fans and club is solved. I don't see Top or Rudkin leaving, so to have any chance of promotion all the current senior players need to leave. We can't go into the season with Winks, Vesty, Faes, Mavididi, Skipp, BDR, Hamza, Okoli, Thomas, Fatawu or nothing changes. We need to promote some of the youth and sign new players who are leaders and proud to play for Leicester and prepared to run thru a wall for the shirt to have any chance.
-
I'm not comparing Fatawu to JJ, all I'm saying is we've had 2 attacking threats all season, without any support from the strikers or other forwards, so it's little wonder they loose form. Yes his form dropped off a cliff, but I don't understand why he's getting so much stick on here when we have a squad full of bigger cvnts. He'll be one of the few assets worth any value, according to transfermarket.co.uk he's valued at 24mil euro, but I bet we'll be lucky to get £10 million for him.
-
Which could also explain the dip in form from Fatawu this year. We've had 2 attacking threats and as you've said ones played with an injury since Feb. Fats usually has 2 or 3 players to beat, with very little help from Ricky P, so it's not hard to see why he's lost form.
-
He's low on confidence and tries to do too much sometimes, but I'm not sure why he's being slated, had 16 goal involvements this season 1 more than JJ.
-
You've already put more thought into this than Top and Rudkin, unfortunately it's not a possibility and they won't look beyond Brussel or Rowett.
-
It will be a new club, will not include any of the history of Leicester City, start from the bottom of the football pyramid. Have no affiliation with Vardy, Lineker, Weller, Shilton, Kante, Wes Morgan, Izzet etc.... FC United have stalled after early progress, and it would be similar with any Phoenix LCFC. It's taken FC United 20 years to reach the Northern Premier League. I would never support this club, and would most likely be dead before they get to league 1.
-
Yes your correct, I was just researching our case. Now we're in league 1 PSR doesn't apply anymore. Its the salary cost management protocol, so relegated clubs are allowed a wage cap of 75% of the turnover.
-
Normally it's a 3 year rolling period, so the accounts submitted by end of December 2025, would include seasons 22/23, 23/24 and 24/25. So unless our court cases have affected these dates then my understanding is it would have included that season.
-
Yes I know, but we failed PSR anyway. We delayed sacking him to comply, but failed. This delay is probably the biggest factor in us getting relegated IMO. Lack of fitness can be attributed to this, no communication and uncertainty with players caused problems with squad. There was a complete lack of leadership in the summer which results in relegation.
