And yet they've never won the premier league
-
God everyone is so touchy on here and takes everything literally and quick to jump down people's throats. Fluked as in we were 5000-1, it wasn't an objective for the club. We sacked Ranieri the following season which doesn't sit well. Obviously the players and manager never fluked the title win, showed tremendous character and bottle and fully deserved it.
-
Because the postponement of the season affected our momentum when we were flying in the league. I'm convinced we would have qualified for the CL if that never happened and then we wouldn't be in today's financial mess. The arse fell out of King Powers business hence we were lumbered with the huge debt from Seagrave and we could only afford to sign shit for the team. But like you say it doesn't excuse the excessive wages for new recruits. Once we rewarded the existing playing staff for the title, players share agents, word got around and we fell into the trap of over paying on wages. I'm just not as negative as everyone on here, we fluked a title win and the board have made mistakes but so have Arsenal and Man Utd since their glory years, so it isn't that easy running a club.
-
Totally agree, and I'm prepared to accept a couple of relegations from the PL as the price we have to pay for the PL / FA Cup success. The board have made mistakes but we were extremely unlucking with the timing of covid when we were challanging for champions league qualification and our owners business being airport duty free shops.

It's not happy clappy nonsense, whatever that means. Criticise them all you like, but that has nothing to do with the players who need support. You need a reality check, Leicester have no devine right to be in the Premier League and if they go down so what. The current owners and DOF have overseen the most successful period in our history winning the PL and FA Cup and deserve more respect than the parasites on here show. Continued success is unsustainable for clubs our size, we over spent trying to maintain the dream and now we're paying the price. The board have made mistakes, so have Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool. All teams with far greater standing in the EPL than little Leicester, yet we've won the PL more recently than 2 of the 3. We've had our greatest day in our history and we'll never achieve that in any of our life times again. So get over it and go down with some class instead of a behaving like a spoilt child.

At least he put BEK in the starting team and has been a revelation. He's still young, never had a pre-season with us and maybe he needs his minutes managing or something. Only last year I would constantly read on FT that Enzo was stubborn and wouldn't make changes. Now we have a manager who's brave and prepared to make changes and he's getting pelters. We just have to accept the club has had a massive fall from grace. We can either dwell on the past mistakes and be guaranteed to be relegated in all our negativity or at least try and be positive and support the team no matter how shit they are, so they have a fighting chance. Nobody excels in a toxic negative environment.

I would love to know how you think RVN is shooting himself in the foot? Who is all this talent he's not playing? He makes changes when we're losing to get back in the game, its not his fault that our options are ****ing crap.
-
We've no idea if Coulibaly can defend, I can't imagine if many of us had even heard of him before we signed him. I agree with your other points, drop Mavididi, play Bilal and Facundo as 2 tens in a 5221 formation. We looked doomed, the Palace defeat has destroyed what little confidence we have and the players lacked any fight yesterday.
-
Yes totally agree, Ruud is no better but Cooper wasn't the solution either and certainly never over achieved. He had a full squad to choose from, his own backroom staff, Mads in goal, refused to play Ricky, underused Bilal and Fatawu and played 3DMs every game Signed Ayew, BDR and his piece de resistance wasting £20 plus million on Skipp. The club is where it deserves to be and this is our short to medium term future because we don't have the finances to buy better players.
-
Yeah let's all get offensive, very mature.
-
Yes let's sack the manager every 10 games and become even more of a basket case club. We're without Fatawu, Mads and Ndidi in this terrible run, all standout performers last season. I'm sure Dyche or any manager for that matter would love to come here to such a supportive environment and fanbase knowing they've got less than 10 games before the locals turn🤔.
-
Yes because he never played bilal

LCFC will NOT face any charges for breaching PSR

Because they're appealing the summer PSR decision when we won on a technicality. They obviously thought we would fail this time and could hit us with a big points fine, but that's backfired. So it's plan B. -

I any normal business you would expect a return on your investment, but football is different. Just look at the money Spurs, Chelsea have spent without a return. -

The PL are seething 😂 that we complied this time and are re-writing their useless rule book so they can appeal the appeal panels final decision. What a set of vindictive *****, just accept we won the Premier league and screwed your ****ing PSR rules. Leave us alone and save your money for the Man City appeals. -
Yes winning is a habit, the same as losing regardless of the opposition. I think we should play a full strength team and beat QPR so we've got some positive form going into the Palace game. We can hopefully makes changes and bring on a few prospects when we're comfortably winning in the 2nd half.
-
I'd play the first team so we can hopefully win, get some momentum and confidence because we sure need it.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

Yes we've been lucky all season, Mads has won our 14 points on his own. 4pts in 7 is where we are at the moment. We're a newly promoted championship team with a shit squad, shit DoF, novice manager and going down unless he can work miracles which is still more hope than we had under Cooper. -

Yes, great post and totally agree nothing changes until Rudkin goes. I thought the club was supposed to have learnt after the Rodgers debacle and they had a new strategy and succession plan which started with Enzo? Unfortunately the new plan ended with the panic appointment of Cooper, who's the polar opposite of Enzo. At least Ruud is more aligned with Enzo but needs time, even if it's in the EFL. -

Fair enough, I'm the opposite I'm more confident with Ruud at the helm. I'm not blaming Ruud for picking Ward either because Cooper would gave done the same. He played him in 3 league Cup games so blaming Ruud for this is ridiculous, he was the regonized back-up keeper. At least he learnt from the mistake quickly and dropped him from the squad completely which I'm not convinced Cooper would have done. -

Only because he was sacked before, the club was already on a downward spiral and it would only have been a matter of time. Cooper has done nothing in his career to suggest he would have gained points away to Newcastle, Liverpool, Villa or at home to Man City so stop trying to claim the recent run of results under him would have been any different. We're conceding too many goals from individual mistakes in defence which is costing us. Mads alone has been responsible for our 14 points because he's been performing miracles in goal. -

Against champions league teams in Newcastle, Liverpool, Man City and Villa with a reserve keeper and no Fatawu, Ndidi or Ricky P. The only thing Cooper had going for him was luck and he's used it all up for the season gaining 10 points in 12 games. Considering the injuries and run of games 4 points from 7 isn't that bad. The only real blip was the Wolves game which was totally on Ward who would still have player under Cooper. I'm more confident under RVN than Cooper because at least he has a tactical plan whilst Cooper offered nothing and relied on luck which was already on the turn before he was sacked.
