This thread is a great example of the effect Russell Martin has on fanbases.

The squad is more than fine for this level. We're playing tippy-tappy football at the back, practically begging the opposition to punish us, with needless passes for the sake of it rather than any real focus on getting the ball forward and creating chances. We've got the worst manager in history relative to the resources at his disposal, and it's not even close to being limited to this club. His record at previous clubs tells much the same story.

Imagine trying to sell the club for a few quid, then going ahead and employing Russell Martin on a 3-year deal. Idiots..
