As I’ve mentioned before, there is still a large contingent of blokes watching Leicester, not enough women, and women need to back it. There’s a lot of women watching the men. One or two clubs like Brighton give men’s ST holders free entry to women’s games. If 1% of our men’s ST holders came along and bought someone with them, it’s 500 on the gate for a start.

Definitely need a marquee signing but not likely to get one, be lucky to get anyone decent in now, arguably the biggest ‘signing’ will be securing Rantala again. The salary for the likes of Howard who was at the club 5 years wasn’t that great, can’t imagine the others were on decent salaries either, but that is likely to be the only reinvestment, free transfers given the same wage or lower. Seems to be the same with the men, Ward out Begovic in for example.

Does anyone believe that this guy is going to ‘tear the championship apart’ ? At 25m he should but in all honesty I’ve seen lads in tier 5 with better mobility and vision. Rudkin strikes again.

This is the problem, these players were brought in to do a job in the premier league, and big money and wages were paid for them. The logic that ‘yeah he’s pretty crap but he’ll do an ok job in the championship’ is straight from the book of Rudkinomics. They drain the club with their wage, they can’t be offloaded, and if they are, it’s at a loss, but it’s acceptable to give them another go so they can fail for a 3rd time in the PL next season. We have kids and a whole bunch of overpaid leeches who we hope can do a job in the championship. What a club!

Can’t believe people still think this guy is capable, the 2nd biggest mistake was buying him, the biggest mistake was not selling him to Bournemouth that time when they came in with crazy money. Wingers and no 10s would be mad to trust him, let’s face it if you look up and see Parson Daka running the wrong way (as he often does) then you are doing it yourself. Ridiculous that’s he’s still at the club.

I think we sometimes lose sight of the fact that other teams like Man Utd haven’t bought players in, and the West Ham’s and Tottenham’s of this league will struggle too. I hear you on most of what you’ve said, however I think it’s not only Momiki, but also Howard and Bott are quite key to this too. Whilst Soph had her critics, you always got 100% from her and we will miss that rubbing off on what I assume will be Kees stepping in. Bott was a tremendous reader of the game and often bailed us out of the brown stuff. Taks, Rose, Lena and Nevin’s time was up, but those other 3 and potentially Rantala too going I think is a huge shift in terms of team balance as they all had completely different attributes that were part of the build. For me, I do think they’ll finish bottom regardless of what comes in, that’s not down to the players we have, I just feel we haven’t managed the DoF position well, and the timing along with the good ‘frees’ being snapped up inevitably leaves us with the unknown, most likely Frenchies, Leuven loans and a couple of Villa rejects that the newly appointed DoF will reel in. I assume the transfer kitty is non existent, I know we had to sell Kop to get Hlin and the fee for Kop was a lot more than we expected to get. They have to make the KP a difficult place to come, there were signs of that last season of course but the away form was woeful and that was down to a manager who couldn’t set them up right. Naturally I hope they have a good season but for me the shambles off the field and the exodus leaves us wanting, last year the likes of Green, Remy, Palmer, Ava were no major loss, this year there is some huge gaps and we’re banking on Leitzig on what I feel will be shooting practice for most opponents.

Biggest issue is not just getting these players in, it’s understanding. I think a lot of the current squad took a very long time to execute whatever plan Miquel came up with last year. There was an awful lot of coaching from the sidelines, almost junior Football level at times, and the other guy only speaks French who assists her. Most free players that were worth having, Pattinson for example who is a tough no nonsense Geordie lass at left back, have secured moves, we seem to be reading the news not writing it again. 6 weeks before kick off and no new blood, not enough time to gel and execute the plan in my opinion and goodness knows who is coming in terms of quality.

You should have a renewal window? Unless they’ve gone down this stupid route of ‘priority seats’ like last season where some folks were relocated as they saw their seats be offered on a match by match basis to general sale punters. We aren’t renewing, will do a few away days but I think it’s a bloody cheek they can let players go and still haven’t got Rantala sorted, and they come asking for money after 2 months of silence.
