I was in P3 and the Rudkin Out chant during the chat at the end was sung by a decent number including myself. Banner in L1 was Sack the Board.

I managed to go the entire time in the stadium without shedding a tear. Now I’ve just read that, and I’m sobbing.

She’s not a bad player, her strength seems to be hold up play and vision which is why I said Shannon was misused in my opinion. Hlin could have fed Shannon or Cain out to the wings. Unfortunately she seems to run like she’s got a sack of potatoes trapped beneath her feet and looks unlikely to get on the end of anything being crossed back in. Clever lass by all accounts, degree in computer science, as you say she’s nice enough with a good attitude, she was clearly bought to fill the void of Mouchon and go toe to toe for the position when both fit.

I don’t recall her getting injured for several games, she played at Everton coming on as sub the week she signed, was poor at United, played against Villa and Man City in the cup then got dropped, but she was still coming on as sub after that doing 20/25 mins. Only time I didn’t see her on the bench was Chelsea away. She featured in 10 out of 11 games. Strange signing, as was Karla Torres. Especially when you have Rose who plays through the middle with Canada. Lena was also called up for the Villa game, which saw a player who had been playing regularly dropped altogether, she was then recalled to the bench after Lena pulled out. Even more strange is a mysterious season long injury then all of a sudden Werder Bremen take you less than a week after the season ends.

Seems more logical to me to play Hlin in that central role and O’Brien left with Goodwin or Cain on the right at the time. She obviously didn’t which makes you wonder where Hlin fits in as Mouchon will take that spot I guess now Petermann has gone.

O’Brien is highly likely to go, she’s been misused by Miquel playing her out of position. There are so many potentially on the way out it’s alarming.

They say no player is bigger than the club but it feels like he is at the moment.

Think they might sneak it out in amongst the Vardy stuff over the weekend? Not sure but it takes the heat away if it’s popular leavers…it just gets lost in the Vardy carnival.

Never featured at all, just like Petermann. Same with Shannon the season before, injured on u23 duty, 8 months out.

Werder Bremen for Lena

My source is a good one, although I’m surprised he’s not going for the goal at Bournemouth if he doesn’t get it Sunday.

Me neither, I hear there is a better chance with Rantala than Yuka, was told Howard terms are not great, big worry with Shannon too. Something strange with Bott she got off the coach at the Brighton away game and looked angry and annoyed, she was out of the side for a while after that. Wouldn’t be surprised if we lose 8-10 players.

They are supposed to be moving to Seagrave. Belvoir Drive I hear is up for sale but there are restrictive covenants in place that make it less attractive to buyers. Everton have given Goodison Park to the women, their budgets will increase, good manager in place. You would expect London City to have a real go at it, and I think Spurs will change their manager. So coming back to crowd numbers, we’re going to need all the support we can get next season, we need some quality players because we’re going to struggle else after these departures are announced.

Crowds are slightly down in the WSL this season, I went to all the away games and the crowds were all 4 figures, even Arsenal at the Emirates was only 5000. Liverpool have done free coaches home and away all season, we seem to have stopped the cheaper rate or the odd free coach, I’ve only ever seen one clip with Hamza Choudhury urging people to attend a women’s game. If anything, the women’s game needs more women attending, I’d say 40% of our crowd is men if not more.

Plenty of blokes have to spend a night away with work, typical Footballer who thinks he’s above everyone and work is beneath him. If he’s that bothered, give him to Watford for 500k and get him gone.

With Torres returning to Colombia, it’s another one not utilised by Miquel, looked promising, blistering pace, could have given her a game out of the last 2 dead rubbers. Shannon played 37 minutes in her preferred position all season!
