Depends largely on the pricing structure for tickets. To be honest, I expected a European night or three, to at least have a better atmosphere than it did, the away fans took great delight in throwing punches and causing mayhem, we couldn’t raise a song and when I started one, the bloke in front turned round and looked at me like I’d peed on his kids Christmas presents.

Correct, we tore up sporting blue/green newspapers for ticker tape, we would sing half an hour before kick off on terraces not on a concourse, we looked forward to Saturday and spoke about the game until the following Tuesday. Today our ‘in bowl’ experience consists of light shows, clappers, hyped up pa announcers and half n half scarf wavers sat next to you. And yes, we may be old, but give me those match atmospheres any day over these ‘customer experience’ goons who come up with this matchday dross. I started a song the last time I went and those around me in SK3 looked at me like I was a visiting fan 😂
