It was a take the booking challenge because he’s got the pace of a brick
-
Makes no difference. He’s not quick enough and he’s not good enough as a defender. It’s the championship ffs, of course he looks good
-
If we’re judging a defender by his ability to defend, then like Maguire, Vestergaard is going to be found out (again) at the top level if we keep him. Like Maguire people are mugging themselves off because he’s good on the ball.
-
He was bang average 😂. Needlessly booked for a lazy challenge, caused Hermansen problems by not moving around to receive the ball, he would get utterly crucified in the PL. People losing their mind because he’s not terrible at this level. He’s not being challenged ffs

He’s playing in the championship mate. Let’s see him do it in the PL in this new position. He’s got ALOT of making up to do for his abysmal performances last season
-
Apparently it was a sudden gust of wind
-
Hansels so hot right now….
-
😂😂😂 He was one of the reasons we got relegated. He’s been abysmal for 18 months, shows up against Tranmere because he’s sealed his exit and suddenly the fans go all Soyuncu on him
-
He’s playing Tranmere ffs. Put him back in the PL and he’ll fold like a pack of cards again

Since when has looking at other badly run clubs been a good way of making the case that we’re not so bad after all? I’ve never understood that logic. I don’t really care about Everton, Leeds or other clubs who happen to be worse run clubs than us. What I care about is the transition this club has made over the last few years since Vichais passing from a financially healthy and ambitious PL club with everything going for it to car crashing into the championship with barely a pot to piss in because we have a board that took their eye off the ball completely And before someone throws in the inevitable Covid argument, let’s remember what really started the decline - breaking the successful recruitment and sale model and in the summer of 2021, spending money we didn’t have on awful signings while trying to tie down players on new contracts who didn’t want to be here anymore. Leicester are an example of one of the fastest declines since Leeds United back in the early 2000s - I doubt even Mike Ashley could have done much better than taking a top 5 PL club and FA cup winners and dumping in the championship with record losses 2 years later
-
No he doesn’t. He needs to do a lot more than that to make up for driving the club off the edge of a cliff and into the championship
-
Daka was a real prospect before Rodgers got hold of him. He will do well if he goes to Bournemouth - he needs regular game time as a no.9 - he can run in behind effectively and is a good finisher: similar to Kramaric - we just didn’t know how to use him and it’s always the same when looking for the next Vardy. We end up just playing the old one
-
He hasn’t played well. He’s just playing against a dog awful side.

There’s been plenty written on this over the past few years. I can’t be bothered to dig it all out. Rudkin makes the managerial recommendations on hiring and firing - of course Top has the final say but he’s heavily influenced by Rudkin. This has been spoken about and referenced by trusted journalists with sources within the club it’s generally pretty we’ll know that a director of football is in charge on the football operations of the club. Trying to absolve Rudkin of responsibility is pathetic
-
This is such a lame argument. Firstly we weren’t the only small to medium club hit by the global pandemic and other owners also suffered significant losses to their core business although I get the fall out was more significant for KP. Secondly - the reason we are in a financial mess is because of our reaction to that situation. Instead of moving players on who wanted to leave in 2021, we broke the model of selling key assets and decided to effectively gamble on securing Europe by throwing money at players like Soumare and Daka that we didn’t have. Now the finances aren’t on Rudkin but what he is responsible for includes all other football related activities. That’s ultimately managerial appointments, staff and coaching appointments - including medical, appointing a head of recruitment - the entire football operation and onfield football activities sit under him. He has catastrophically failed in the last 2 years

Willy Caballero confirmed as Assistant Manager

So does Gary Neville -
I mean that’s just a daft statement isn’t it? Lineker was a true Leicester boy but took the opportunity to go to Everton for the sake of his career. Didn’t mean he loved Leicester any less. People seem to think you have to be Matt LeTissier if you’re a local or came up through the youth system.
-
What part of the fact he didn’t want to sign a new contract at a club that’s skint and going backwards are you not getting? Why on earth would he tie himself to a new deal at a club he doesn’t want to be at and then subsequently lose any power he has to get a move? We all know Leicester would have held out for a ridiculous fee had he done so.
-
Maybe not but it’s a ****ing good job he did
-
Yeah. A bloke who doesn’t want to play championship football under Dean Smith. Fair play to him
-
No he wouldn’t 😂
-
He’ll be delighted he didn’t sign a contract at Leicester 2 years ago given the utter shambles we’ve become. He’s now be stuck on a long term contract getting ready to play Coventry City on a Tuesday night while we demanded a fortune for him. He’s done the right thing in getting off this sinking ship. Probably saw what was coming
-
He’ll be happy with that. European football at a side who is chasing to be regular top 6. He’s not a top 4 player and that’s why he’s ended up there.
