  1. If we lose El Khannous, I would say Ringo Meerveld at Willem II is the perfect replacement, I've seen Willem II play live a few times this season (I live part-time in the area) they were having a decent season but then went on a Leicester style losing run which will likely lead to relegation (I've not had a great year supporting teams), Meerveld is head and shoulders above anyone else playing in the team, I wouldn't be surprised if a Dutch giant goes in for him but if no one offers him European football, the Championship is better than the Dutch 2nd division and other Eredivisie teams wouldn't be able to match the wages we could offer. He's 22, bags of technical ability and will command big transfer fees in the future. Only issue is that he's a bit short but hard to knock off the ball!
  2. I know this is about the manager but surely whilst Dan Ashworth is out of work, that should be our number 1 target. Clearly wouldn't come cheap but our problems run deeper than just the manager. I'll throw Alan Sheehan out there for a wildcard shout, he's done an great job as interim for Swansea and an ex player.
  3. I will. It's an absolute mess at the moment, I'm hoping it's so bad at the minute that it finally inspires some change, I know that's completely naive but Burnley did it when they had Kompany. Obviously it didn't work out when they got promoted but at least we won't have a squad full of aging players on ludicrous wages.
  4. I've been supporting Leicester for a long time and I've never known there to be this much talk of a player his age. Playing for the U21 at 15 is nothing to be sniffed at but to be performing well so quickly does bode very well. Jake Evans as well seems to be doing well in the U21s, the good thing about them both is that they've both still not found their ceiling at such a young age. Is Evans 17? In my head that's old enough to be brought into the match day squad, it's not like it's a massive miss if McAteer doesn't warm the bench for a couple games. Also, considering we're so shackled by PSR, surely trying to speed up their development is only a good thing. Look at Dibling for Southampton, yes they're going down but Dibling was linked to a £55m move to Spurs this window just gone. That's pure profit, enough for a rebuild in the Championship. Apologies for the essay but there's nothing else to get excited about at Leicester currently!
  5. Whilst I agree with everything said and have no idea why we've not signed him but we already have a young defender who has been called up to the Italy squad who we refuse to play. I know Okoli didn't set the world alight when we have played him, it's not like we've given him much of an opportunity to get used to the Premier League.
  6. I don't want to see Top gone but Rudkin has got to go, I realise that Top has control over Rudkins job, so I see the irony. There's no evidence of Top not giving us money etc. as it seems we're constantly in a PSR battle and we're giving little to no information on why it seems so much worse than other teams. The mismanagement of funds has got to be looked at and explained to the fans immediately, I get we were spending too much and we've gone down but it's getting to the point of the unexplainable. In just 3 season's we've moved on the following players: Fofana, Schmeichel, Maddison, Barnes, Castagne, Soyuncu, Evans, Perez, Tielemans, Praet, Iheanacho and KDH. That's 12 players that were either sold for a lot of money or were on big wages, they're off the books now but we're still be unable to make a signing, what's going on? It's not like we've replaced them with expensive replacements on big wages.
  7. What's most depressing is Wolves signing Nasser Djiga, yes a bit of an unknown but 6ft 2, 22 years old and plays CB whilst we're looking at a swap deal for the player he's replacing and he's being replaced because their defence is shambolic.
  8. What use is a "proper defender" who will be 35 by the end of the season and can't string a pass together and these standards you're talking about, Wolves have conceded 52 goals this season, only one less than us. It's another Ayew, almost every fan can see that it's a pointless signing who won't improve the squad but the club go through with it anyway.
  9. This transfer window in a nutshell. "I ain't never felt this bad, ever" - Tim Sherwood
  10. Nicolò Tresoldi is an attacking player who has huge potential in Bundesliga 2, not the best return this season but an affordable striker who could offer something immediately even at 20.
  11. Is anybody else alarmed at there being only 10 days left and hardly any links, particularly after Leicester's inability to sort out last-minute transfers, Silva, Jack Harrison and Sensi... Personally, although probably on big wages, I'd go for someone like Breel Embolo, he's is struggling for a game at Monaco and surely he'd fancy a crack on loan at least. Morgan Whittaker as well, plays on the right for Plymouth and knows where the back of the goal is, even if it's a signing for another promotion push next season. Then literally any CB, I don't care who.
  12. I mean it's complete hearsay but I've heard a few people now mention that we're going to sign Charlie Patino from Arsenal, which sort of makes sense with KDH gone but I've not seen anything online!
  13. I'm not sure if it's been mentioned and it could be a bit of a long shot but what about Philippe Clement? He's just been sacked by Monaco, so he'd be free, his record is good, particularly in Belgium which Leicester have a few links with and he spent a season in Coventry (whilst a player), so I'm assuming there wouldn't be a major language barrier! I mean it's meaningless speculation but there's not much else to go on at the moment.
