  1. No, Use pride park. It's closer to you and there's little or no difference in the level of dislike.....oh by the way, tell us about 1980 again....it's so long since I heard that story from a forest fan
  2. This is why safe standing is imperative in my eyes. Then NOBODY can ask you to sit down. If they do they will get a two word answer. I despise sitting at football, always have, it hasn't changed with age. Standing is more conducive to singing and atmosphere and like minded individuals are more likely to choose tickets in those standing areas. Two birds with one stone and all that.. But we need the club to have an interest in safe standing. I have sent an email as suggested on here but large numbers of mails are needed to show a genuine interest in standing and singing section.
  3. Thank you. I often say I'll complain or send an email, but this time I will.
  4. I think there has to be a mix of both members and season ticket holders. Safe standing would be a huge step in the right direction. I think it would force "sitters" to move. Thanks for explaining
  5. I understand. I did think about that after you pointed it out. Anyone in particular you'd recommend.
  6. Fair comment. The intention wasnt to blame you if it read that way. It's just frustrating.
  7. I know us members are second class citizens. But there has to be some tickets left for us. You won't encourage new young fans or fans who can't get a season ticket yet if there isn't availability and it won't grow as you'd like, over time without those young fans. And members are keen to make noise too. I, along with numerous others, don't want to sit/stand anywhere else. At the minute we have to spend our lives on the internet waiting for cast offs that are resold
  8. Yeah I've seen stuff like that. Usually there for the bar or because "they've always gone to the city" and it's just habit
  9. I'd be more than willing to go there to try and expand it. But if only a handful are standing and singing you get the usual "sit down" shouts and you either get into a row or sit down. As a dad I'd rather my kids didn't see me get in a row. So it will take larger numbers to make a stand. It's asking a lot of people who are creatures of habit but if you don't want to stand and sing....move. it's a 32k stadium and if you are a season ticket holder i understand it is easy to relocate.
  10. Yeah I don't like sitting elsewhere. First I want to stand. L1 stands but more interested in pretending to be hooligans and shouting and looking at away fans than singing and watching the game. P is getting better and I'll go there at a push but really if I can't get in sk1 I know it wont be a great day. And I'll be ****ed if I'm paying the best part of 50 notes to sit quietly in the west stand
  11. Lots of members like to make a noise, like myself and daughter and we always stand in sk1. However, even at 15 plus points we couldn't get in for last few home games, west brom, Southampton Blackburn. There needs to be more availability to members....it is no coincidence that when away games have gone to members the atmosphere has been good and noise made. Also brum home in the cup. Lots of members want to create an atmosphere and are often keener to get involved than possibly stale season ticket holders. Any season ticket holder who doesn't want to sing should move out of sk1 and let members and future season ticket holders contribute. Ufs....great work by the way
  12. Dogshit idea. The game has been ruined enough.
  13. Wasn't that for 125 years anniversary, so.......2009 if my maths is correct.. correct me if I'm wrong......which is a definite on foxes talk 😂
  14. Talking of retro shirts have you seen the retro players pics from that era. Agnew, Colin Gordon, mauchlen, Ramsey. Love em but they look like they been pulled out of the pub and not like the athletes we have today.
  15. Ha ha spot on. Hey everyone I can get into a medium 😂😂. Those days are long gone for me sadly. But agreed. The admiral kits are nice. I have the admiral Ind Coope one. I also like the bukta 91/92. Oooh Tommy wright!
  16. To see if I can get 6 pints in before kick off and 3 at half time. This season I only managed 5 before the game and 2 at half time. It will mean missing kick off though, and another 10 mins of first half when I go down early
  17. Im with you. Don't forget the ones who post pics at the top of pen y fan. Come on, it's not Everest
  18. The raw emotion came on Monday at Preston. It was natural and unrehearsed on the day we achieved being champions. It was a shame all 32000 (and more) city fans couldn't have experienced it. Whilst the trophy lift and parade are nice, they are pre planned, stage managed and "forced" celebrations (a bit like new years eve) to an extent. Nothing beats being in the moment. Good achievement nonetheless. Come on you blue boys !
  19. There is, or at least was, a sports shop in the market place, JC sports I think, wedged between pawn brokers. They used to sell the out of date kits cheap. I got a couple a few years ago for 10 or 15 quid, can't remember exact amount. Worth swinging by. Although granted that isn't an online solution. If you are miles away scrub the above 😂
  20. Agree. The thing is being a footballer or indeed any celebrity gives you free reign to behave how you like and not get pulled on it. I love Leicester city, always have but I've always had to remind myself not to idolise players, quite often they can be dicks. Getting your daughter to swear in front of thousands is pretty embarrassing. Yes he may be our greatest player, no arguments there but let's be honest, without football he would be just like the chavs you see on any estate, pushing a pushchair along, top off, jogging bottoms around his backside, can of lager in hand, shouting some obscenity at the top of thier voice. You know who I mean Didn't do yourself any favours yesterday in my eyes. Although I'm sure there will be loads who will defend you.
  21. City players were pretty good at it yesterday between getting off the bus and appearing on the balcony. 😂
  22. For some, city have to win the prem and cup double and the champions league for them to be remotely satisfied. It's beyond me. Yes city have been crap at times this season......guess what ? So have everyone else at times. We have also been very very good at times. Regardless of who beat who and where they were in the league ( close rivals or relegation threatened teams), the final league table never lies. The best team over 46 games finishes top. Always. Not even prepared to discuss this point. Should arsenal be champions 15/16 because they did the double over us????? Thought not. Please stop whining everyone. It may well be we get spanked every week in the prem but THIS season, the aim was to be promoted - its done. And as someone said the other day, premier "success" for us over the next few seasons means staying up, maybe breaking into top half and if we have that "success" it means it will be a LONG time before we have nights like Preston or a trophy lift like today. Enjoy it
