I've said this over and over thru the years, on here and to friends. It's utterly totally baffling. I've never left early but..... 4-0 down against man city or Liverpool, I'd kind of get it (maybe, possibly) but with one goal in it against a side that we are more than capable of scoring against........I cant get my head round it

Good shout. Top ground too. Old school. Right on top of the pitch

New low today. 3 quarters of my row disappeared at 32 mins.....didn't reappear until 55 mins. I like I pint but I tend to go to the pub or get a drink in home if i fancy one. What I don't do is spend 40 odd quid to watch a match then **** half of it off to have a weak overpriced drink. Seriously? Why? It's beyond me. I'd ****ing hate to miss a goal or a talking point and above all else I'm there for the footy not the beer. If you love a drink, fair play but there's better places to drink on a Saturday afternoon than a cold souless concourse. Come on lads watch the game, support the city!

Sunderland (A) - Tuesday 5th March - 7.45pm

Fish, bread and and wine.....no problem for this fella. Coming back from the dead.....no bother. Attracting millions of disciples and followers ....piece of p*ss. However helping us beat a mid table side may be asking a bit much of him. -
I'm a member and have booked travel on the (very hopeful) assumption that with 6000 this will make members on Tuesday. How hot are ausden Clark with their ticket checks if I don't get a ticket and have to sell the bus tickets. Anybody know?

Brilliant.....and so true! My cousin said come to the city with me when I was 13......and it's certainly been a roller coaster. I could have gone with Liverpool who were winning everything at the time like the lads at school. All things considered though, I'm glad I didn't.....it certainly hasn't been boring. Glad young un enjoyed it.

I never want city to lose but against Middlesbrough I accepted it as we threw everything but the kitchen sink at them at 0-2. Today though it was poor. The team didnt seem to know what to do when they were behind. I never really went along with the "Enzo has no plan B" comments before but today I can't help but agree. You CANNOT play the way you play at 3-0 up, patiently passing the ball at the back, when you are behind. You have to inject more urgency, sometimes play it long and most of all, deliver the ball into the box at every opportunity. We just didn't and when we did the final ball was dogsh*t. But.....I've been doing this football lark a long time, I've seen far worse and the squad (not team, as it's time for a few changes) is still capable of winning this league.....they just need a big no nonsense kick up the arse. 3 league defeats on the trot is not acceptable for a team with ambitions of winning the league.

No doubt this has been asked before at some point but....I have two mobile tickets to a home game I'm unlikely to be able to make now. They have not been uploaded to wallet yet. So...if I email them to my brother who wants them and he uploads them to his Google wallet, will they still work? Without wishing to be rude, I'd prefer a firm yes or no from someone who has tried this rather than a "it should work". I don't want him turning up and not being able to get in.

Exactly this. Money money money. We are cash cows, don't kid yourself we matter. We only matter when we stop coming. And they know that won't happen In large enough numbers for them to change their pricing. New shirt every season, yes fleece them, they will pay it, increase ticket prices, yes they will pay it, membership, yeah do it, they will pay for the privilege of spending with us, 6 quid a pint, 5 quid a pie, yeah rinse them, they are a captive audience. Yet we still do it, we still pay and I'm as guilty as contributing as anyone else. The problem is, we can't just find another supplier (of football) as we would with a supplier of say, insurance, or go to a different gig because the one we wanted to go to is too expensive, because we are invested. I could go to watch the champions league final with the best players in the world and I wouldnt give a toss who won because it matters more to me to see city beat Plymouth/Swansea and the like. The club know this and take the p*ss. Not just Leicester......all of them.

My one and only time on the pitch after that !! Calm down everyone before I'm called a hooligan.....I wouldn't do it these days 🤣

No, not a dick. I agree. A lot of teams come here and set up for a 0-0 all behind the ball. It doesn't make for excitement. It's simple really, for things to be exciting, it has to be competitive and there has to be a chance you'll lose. 9-0 wins (a la Southampton) are great for the record books and as a one off, but if you saw that every week you would get very bored very quickly. That said, you can only face what's in front of you and city have more than met expectations this season. 9 points clear with 14 to play. We all would have took that in August. **Correction, 13 to play to avoid upsetting any stattos who were about to pull me up 🤣

I enjoyed it too. In fact, even though it feels strange to say, I enjoyed it more than most games this season. Although it may be alien to some, we don't all go to football to see a walkover or a game won at little more than walking pace. We go for the atmosphere, the anticipation of that equalising goal, all pulling together when we are behind and willing the ball into the net, the excitement. Of course I want Leicester to do well and win every week, but give me a tight 2-1 game with a last minute winner over a training game esque 4-0 win that was over at half time all day long. That explosion when we get the winner can't be beat!

We have all moaned about refs, myself included. There are good ones and crap ones. I still firmly believe though that if you are relying on a refereeing decision to win then your team haven't done enough. It's that simple. If anyone blames the ref for losing yesterday and not the fact we were well below par and missed a number of clear chances, then there's no hope. We have more than enough quality to beat most of, if not all of the teams in this division, with or without the refs help/hindrance -
Fair point. It isnt a particularly new thing I accept
-
Genuinely mind boggling. And as a purely financial view, at 35, 40 (at least) quid a pop, doing anything else you would stay get your money's worth
-
Yeah I imagine that is annoying. I was in SK1 and in all fairness I didn't see many leave from our section before the end. But there were rows and rows of empty seats elsewhere round the ground at 85. If it's the traffic argument they make then they need to think about it ...Leicester is a largeish city and at 5pm on a Saturday, regardless of football, the city centre, welford road, aylestone road etc are going to be busy anyway. So you have to sit on aylestone road for an extra 20 mins? So?? Unless you need to be back for strictly/Michael McIntyre or whatever other sh*t is on tv on a Saturday night, what is the hurry? MY personal opinion is that they aren't as invested in Lcfc as others. Don't get me wrong, I have a life, kids, family, work, problems, social events and my life doesn't start and end with Leicester city but for 2 hours on a Saturday (or these days a monday night, Sunday lunch, Friday night) i'm invested, it's an escape I love and have since I was 12, nothing else matters for those 2 hours and I have never and will never leave early.
-
I don't get it. However hard I try to understand it, it's just beyond me. I really thought we might get an equaliser and you couldn't have got me out of there before the end for love nor money. You are right, there's nothing like a last minute winner or equaliser......and if we had got one, given the atmosphere yesterday, the place would have gone up like we haven't seen this season....why why why would you want to risk missing that?
-
Yes I know we lost and yes I know we weren't at our best today but this thread is about stadium atmosphere and I'll be honest, was in SK1 today and it felt like I was at a proper football match with passion for the first time in quite a while (at home anyway). Very noisy, great support when we were chasing the game. It may be no coincidence that a lot of games where the atmosphere is flat were won too easily. Today we were up against it. Real shame we couldn't get the equaliser but on the plus side it's shows we can make some noise and get behind our team when we want to .
-
I'd imagine that game is a dead cert for TV and will be moved
-
Swansea was awful. Very flat. I think that was a lot to do with low attendance and the ease we won though. Better yesterday.
-
Fair play Hull. Superb pricing. A few clubs, including ours should take note

Official Teams who cannot Mathematically catch us thread
rugbyblue replied to Aus Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
You know.....if you spend Saturday nights and indeed all of your spare time working out mathematical points formulas and studying football league tables for hypothetical situations, the chances of getting a girlfriend are slim at best 🤣
