  1. Me personally.....I prefer the game without VAR. Yes I know it helped us win the cup but even so I'd rather see the game without it. Over the course of a season I'm pretty confident for every dubious penalty or offside against you, there will be the same amount for your team. It evens itself out. At least without it, you can let loose when you score.....if it's in its in. That's it. And let's face it, over the past 130 odd years the game has done ok to become the most popular game on the planet without VAR. I can live with the odd bad reffing decision if it means we keep that passion and avoid the tedious delays. Do away with it. It's been great in the championship without it.
  2. At least your in with a shout of dad of the year
  3. Agree about ufs . To be honest it's on the individual. Me and my daughter buy tickets for the singing section....we sing, we shout, we join in...what more can you do. I can't force the guy next to me to sing, nor can anyone. Atmosphere is part of the reason we go to football but I think some like to be near the singing but don't contribute...that won't work. Back in the day if we wanted to make a noise and be rowdy we headed to pen 2 with a few mates and other like minded individuals. These days with pre booked seats you can't really go as a group and be near each other as there are only pockets of 2 or 3 available and none on the day. There may be people in the singing section who don't contribute but how do you make them? You can't. I don't know what the answer is...I think it's a football wide problem, not just a Leicester problem. The game has been sanitised. That said, UFS are trying and you have to applaud that. No disrespect to L1 but I went to one game there this season and I'm not sure they would add anything to SK1. Most of the lads spent the game looking at away fans, playing at being hooligans and making hand gestures rather than watch the game and there was very little support/noise.
  4. Thank you. Saying sold out again now. I'm only a member so guessing that's why. Only managed to get two away this season 😞
  5. Not sure if this has been asked before, I haven't read every message, sorry, but looking at tickets it seems to be alternating between sold out and coming soon on a daily basis. Does this mean it's likely an increased allocation will be given?
  6. Said the wife on our anniversary
  7. Wiping dog sh*t off the ball, getting your mate to do the line, it ain't my turn to wash the kit, pint n chips after. Lovely 🤣
  8. Ive lived in rugby for the past 10 years and I'd say it's probably 70/30 cov/Leicester, Judging by the shirts i see worn and the station on match days. It certainly feels like cov country, unlucky for me.
  9. On a lighter note.....did you see them at the end? It was like they had won champions league. I have no doubt it is the biggest thing in some of their lives 🤣. Also saw a funny Inbetweeners moment at the traffic lights at the retail park. Gang of lads in a car shouting abuse out of window....then got stuck at lights.....they were saved by the police as a mob went toward them. Lesson learnt 🤣
  10. The longer these unbeaten runs go, you know they have to come to an end at some point...just a b1tch it was today. In the big scheme of things, apart from bruised pride, it won't make a huge difference to our season. Nobody ......that's nobody ....can go through a 46 game season without a loss here and there. In fairness city were poor from the off and the cov fans and players were bang up for it from the off. Think the atmosphere and frustration maybe got to fatawu. With 10 men we cannot play our normal game. Look at possession stats.....usually we dominate. 38 % today if memory serves. Onwards and upwards. Not the end of the world. Just a blip.
  11. Could have been 92. My memory isn't what is was 🤣
  12. Listen....do you remember Blackburn in 1991....under dalglish....running away with the old division 2 for months then self destructed almost. Finished 6th if I remember right. Granted they beat us in the play off final but anything can happen. We aren't promoted yet. What happens if we play key players like kdh, mavididi etc in cup games and they get injured? League always has to be the priority. For us this year the cup can be a distraction
  13. Reserves against reserves until quarter finals. Cup is a bonus, get out of this league is the priority
  14. I've never really understood why people leave at 80 or 85 mins. First off football tickets are not cheap....I for one am staying til the end to get my money's worth. Secondly how many late goals are scored in games, especially by city in my time of watching them (30 years plus). So to leave at 80 mins with a game at, say 1-1 and in the balance is beyond me. I'd be gutted to miss an 89th minute winner. Oh....stop the full time music please....let the fans make the atmosphere after a win
  15. I remember a chant by city fans about Robert Maxwell drowning, aimed at Derby fans initially but regularly sung at matches. I also remember chants of Brighton's full of homosexuals when we played brighton. We aren't saints ourselves although I accept times move on. Yes the helicopter crash was very sad, a real dark moment for Leicester city and more specifically for the families of those involved. But come on, there are morons in every walk of life. If we really wanted, we could all be offended by people and get into arguments with people every ten mins of every day. But we choose to ignore idiots 9 times out of ten. Me personally, I'd rather police time was spent tackling knife crime, making sure my daughter can walk the streets safely, city centre patrols so we can all have a pint safely etc rather than on a couple of brainless morons who, lets face it, are hardly likely to change their ways as a result of a fine for a public order offence.
  16. Thanks. General opinion seems to be it will be ok. Thanks all
  17. Good stuff thanks
  18. No mine hasnt. It was just a general question really. Thanks anyway
  19. Thank you. I'll make up a cock n bull story anyway, just in case
  20. Spot on. My first game was at 13 in 1990. Watched Italia 90 and got into football. An older cousin was a regular and let me tag along. As most on here will testify, once is enough to get hooked and here I am 33 years later. How could young lads....and girls for that matter....do that these days when they need to buy a membership before being allowed to GIVE LEICESTER CITY THEIR MONEY? I imagine most people's first game is a tag along or treat......and then they want to go again....it isn't rocket science, without these first timers tagging along how do they expect to attract the next generation of supporters? Who in their right mind would buy a membership for anything without trying the product first? short sighted. If it's about money which it undoubtedly is, it stands to reason that if you allow a first timer to buy a ticket, chances are they will come again.....and spend again numerous times. I dread to think how many thousands I've spent over the years.....I console myself with the fact some of my money went towards the purchase of ade akinbiyi and Trevor Benjamin. 🤣🤣
