  1. Genuinely, the players and staff of Birmingham would’ve woken up today and probably thought, meh. On the flip side.. a club the size of Peterborough, probably means a lot more than you think. All about levels.
  2. @Super_horns Hi fella, I’m bored at work and I know you enjoy posting in here and I’m all for it seeing as we’ll be back at VR next season, and on a totally unrelated tangent I’ve needed to get this off my chest for ages.. Just how much of an unlikeable footballer is Ryan Porteous by the way! Watched him against Luton a few times and obviously against us last year where he had a mare to my delight, but I just can’t shack my pathetic distain for him as a defender, I can’t put my finger on it.
  3. The lack of traffic and discussion in here really brightens up my day. Liquid apathy, inject it into my veins. Like everyone else I’m counting down the minutes until that ‘R’ is next to our name in the table. If anyone wants to play Connor Cliche Coady bingo and predict when and what football cliches he roles out in our post relegation interviews I’m all ears! Misery loves company etc
  4. How do you decrease a file size to insert an image in here.. I’m having a torrid! Anyhow, currently in the ‘away’ end at Bedford Town against Harborough Decent little following from them, the accent is as thick as my Christmas dinner gravy, mind. 1-0 down at HT and the Harborough #4 is absolutely blowing
  5. Joining new expansion team San Diego FC as a DP apparently.. been watching a lot of MLS and every broadcast featuring San Diego seems to think it’s already a certainty.
  6. Well I barely support Leicester at the moment so whoever he works for fills the gap quite nicely!
  7. 100%. He laid the groundwork and created a culture at Luton, twice! In fact. Was at the play off final against Coventry in 2023 with family sat right behind the Luton dugout, and to say it was one of the best days of our lives is a big understatement, I still think about that day just as much as Leicester winning the league, maybe recency bias has a say in that, ha.
  8. Well said. Even more so with upcoming games being on tv. Poor for their brand image and ultimately, poor for their pockets.
  9. Sums up the mentality and culture of our club, from the players, staff, and the stakeholders.
  10. I implore anyone who is on the fence about going to the remaining games. Don’t. Life is short. Spend time with your loved ones. Go to the gym or prioritise your mental health. Support your local non-league team instead. Not one more penny!
  11. I’ve got a season ticket for Charlton Athletic this year (nepotism) and have loved visiting some of the old stadia that I missed from our own love affair in League One. Looking good under Jones’ at the minute, think they’ll be back in the Champ in no time at all from what I’ve been seeing and hearing. Starting to give me shades of his time at Luton.
  12. Are we that desperate to part ways considering he’s clearly proven himself at the level we’ll most likely be operating at next season. Consistent record with Preston during his first spell in the Champ, looked more than capable in short cameos behind Vardy & Daka. The Stoke loan speaks for itself, poor side by all accounts, yet he already matched his Preston record in under half a season. Good luck to him regardless, intrigued to know how his career will pan out..
  13. Superbly put, so soon after another abject showing to boot. Apologies as this isn’t in my wheelhouse, but is there anything @Union FS could do to promote this in the lead up to the Arsenal game?
  14. Can this thread be pinned or put under the FoxesTalk banner?
  15. Completely counter intuitive however if you’re lucky enough to be in a position to attend games, then stop until the obvious changes are made. Or do keep going and clearly direct any boos or chants toward the board. Please, please, please, do all you can for change. Don’t buy food in the concourses of merchandise either. Get gone.
  16. 20th June 2024. Was in Thailand at the time, halfway through a 2 month trip to the South East. Never have I been more appalled at a managerial appointment than that one. I can’t even be bothered for the mental gymnastics of it all. Regarding Ruud, I Have absolutely no opinion on him, he’ll walk into a cosy job on playing reputation alone. Danny Röhl all day long.
  17. Absolutely this, Ashley. Certainly going to enjoy watching him for the remainder of the season. Goalkeeping has changed demonstrably in the last decade at the highest level and barring any injuries clubs will be all over him. Would love to see who our recruitment team see as next in line.
  18. January cannot come any sooner.
  19. Turned down a position at United a couple of years ago when Ten hag joined.
  20. Yeah, can’t say this name rings any bells what so ever.. Here’s another one for you, Jeffery Bruma, another Dutch loanee who went on to have a steady career around Europe, still going I think.
  21. Quiz question: Which former Leicester City loanee in 2011 was managed by Van Nistelrooy during his first role in senior management? Clue, scored his only goal for us against Burnley in 2011. Was a rocket, I witnessed it. Promise.
  22. He got a free ride last season on a technicality. Gets an even easier gig this season… doesn’t even need to defend at this level courtesy of the tactics deployed, yet on the rare occasion a team decides to have half a go, he’s missing every, single, time. Whichever level we operate at next season I just hope he’s nowhere near it. The hair as well! The hair!
  23. That second miss was absolutely heroic. Cheers Enzo.
  24. Stressful, no. Tiresome and mundane however, absolutely. Think my overall contempt for the state of modern day football, VAR, refereeing standards, fan ‘culture’ etc doesn’t help. Could probably brush all that aside with 15/16 and the Cup win. Then again the absolute charlatans we still have in charge makes me wonder what catastrophe we’ll sleep walk into next. All in all, however which way we get promoted I hope 30,000 celebrate with a universal shoulder shrug. Take that EFL! With your BTEC referees and box-ticking commentary teams, jog on.
