I think some people on here need to have a serious think about what they wish for . Does anyone genuinely believe that Top doesn't give a **** about our football club . He has just personally written off a debt of over 100million....and that's the 2nd time he's done that . You just don't do that for something you don't care about. He is obviously aware that handing over large sums to spend on players would only lead to big points deductions so his hands are tied on that one . The mismanagement falls at the feet of Rudkin and his lack of football acumen and I totally agree that he needs to go....and Top certainly has to take the blame for keeping him around for too long . As for Top being absent playing polo ....well, He has a director of football who's job it is to sort out transfer day ...useless as he is , but I'm sure that Top was available by phone if needed . Let's just be careful what we wish for .

There's a lot of hostility here for RVNs selection but let's give the man a chance here , he's had horrendous bad luck with injuries to so many of our first choice players plus sickness and he's down to the bare bones..a little support would help no end ?

Might not be a popular pick but I'd like to see him give Hamza a run out . He will run all day for you ,snap into tackles and even though he can be a red card on legs at times he can handle a full back role or DM .

Well I'm seeing something that I haven't seen from them so far so I'll take that positive and hope for more of it

I would imagine that the view of our esteemed board would be that RVN has been brought in at this particular time in order to give him a few weeks to evaluate what he has and more importantly who he wants to bring in in Jan . I doubt that they will be expecting things to be massively different until then and maybe we will still get something similar to what we have been getting as RVN will still only have the same toolbox to work with ...but I would think that come the end of Jan they will expect serious improvements . A new manager effect bringing an improvement in results would a lovely bonus though .

Let's face it ,all new managers come with varying degrees of risk , some of the biggest and most sought after names fail miserably so I'm all in and let's buckle up for the ride ...hopefully we will be in Ruud health by the new year !

Like most others I've got concerns about RVN but right now the club and fans and players are all on a low . He might just be able to sprinkle that little bit of stardust and attract a couple of exciting players and give us all a lift. I don't think any club looks for long term managerial appointments any more and if he can bring some excitement back for a season or two then I'm happy with that.

I suspect that WestHam have got into Potters ear telling him to hold fire for a game or two and the job will be his ...better prospect than us from his point of view. I'd take Ruud just to give the whole place buzz, yes he'll be gone within 18 months if he works some magic here but I'll take that if leaves us in a good place .

Maybe a bit of potential stardust from someone like RVN could be enough to attract a few better players to the club as opposed to the perceived " boring" type of appointment ,worth a try for me

A solid first half ,Fats is just starting to come into the game , Ricky is looking a bit rusty but good to watch
