Page didn't disgrace himself in Saturday - unlike Skipp.

I have thought about this a lot over the weekend and these deals are just a bit too good for Rudkin to have made. There must be some 3rd party helping to negotiate the sales - maybe for an extortionate fee.

Even better! -
James Justin (signed for Leeds, official. 10m.)

Looks like £5M up front & £5M in ad ons (appearances, stay up bonus). He was out of contract in June so £5M is great. Another player who needs to move on for the benefit of player and club. Poor last season but not alone of course. -
Mads Hermansen sold to West Ham - Official
Donwebbio replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
He is a bit undersized to be a top keeper and obviously that also affects his ability to claim crosses. Jakub is exceptional at that but it helps being 6 4" or 6 5". Having Jakub as a ready made replacement makes this a good deal for us. -
Got to be comfortably in the top 3 worst signings we have made in the last 20 years.

Apart from those picking the team.

I still don't understand the judgement based on 45 mins of playing time. Soumare has had 100 games and we are still not sure. There must be a non-footballing angle to it. If football-related let's get him out in league 1 on loan and assess him properly in English conditions.

Wout Faes (Besiktas interest, Fabrizio Romano)
Donwebbio replied to jonny_wright's topic in Transfer Talk
I don't know it as an insider, but I think his body language is pretty negative, the way he flaps his arms and blames others when goals go in, his lack of warmth when he scored, comments he has made in the Belgian press. He looks miserable and disengaged in the same way Winks does and that can't be beneficial to the group. -
Wout Faes (Besiktas interest, Fabrizio Romano)
Donwebbio replied to jonny_wright's topic in Transfer Talk
Faes is our best defender (unfortunately) but i think he is so synonymous with our decline and is clearly a negative or disruptive influence within the camp that a parting of ways would be best. He clearly thinks he is better than us and also is sulking that nobody has rescued him from his nightmare. We simply must sign a mobile CB with pace and leadership quality to aid the development of Nelson & Okoli and avoid the need to rely on Lurch. -
What's the issue? He looked decent in that 45 min cameo before getting hooked.

Victor Kristiansen (an option for Forest, Percy.)
Donwebbio replied to davieG's topic in Transfer Talk
Kristiansen is proper crap isn't he? I don't know what we weere thinking with that signing. £17M for a downgrade on Luke Thomas. The mould for modern full backs is pace, dynamism, big engine, ability to cross the ball, ability to defend 1v1. He has very little of that going on and is about as slow as two mating turtles. -
Ok let's reframe it. £12 million for McAteer is an awful deal. Any DoF worth his salt would have got £45M for an International winger with his talent. 95% of people on here want major change in the boardroom and maybe 80% want new ownership - myself included - but let's not be so blinded by rage that we can't recognise the (few) good things the club do.
-
Yes that's right. The outgoing transfer business this window has been decent so far and deserves a bit of credit. Is Rudders a hopeless DoF who is out of his depth and needs moving on? Yes, absolutely. Both statements can be true at the same time.
-
He takes a lot of stick on here and rightly so, but £12M of Kasey McAteer is a great but of work, especially adding in the PSR angle. I just hope we have 2 or 3 quality loans lined up to happen at the end of the window.
-
100% agree with all that. Maybe exposure to more frequent and louder protests might force the KPFC brigade to turn sooner. The fear is that a couple of good results will dampen any protests just like it did after we won at Tottenham last year on the back of the Fulham game where we had the most toxic atmosphere I have heard in the ground. The other option is to try and grow the Foxes Trust numbers to a much bigger number to allow more pressure to be asserted through legitimate channels.

Our club is bleeding out in front of our eyes. What can be done about it? I think it is beyond doubt that under Top, we will never be a well run club. He just doesn't have the leadership skills, the will, or the courage to do it. He doesn't even have the intelligence to pay someone competent to run it for him. He needs to sell up. The question is, how can we speed that up?
-
That must have been some kind of PSR dodge involving the Enzo compensation although could equally have been another mistake. Of all the 100 young players Chelsea have on their books, we get the one not even ready for Championship football.
-
We needed about 8 outgoings and 4 quality incomings in this window. Work should have started behind the scenes in April. What we have actually got is a fraud of a DoF and an inept owner who have left the heavy lifting to the new manager with not much time to do it. King Power Out.
-
What's playing in a blue away kit all about? Every department of the club is broken
-
I don't like the guy and his big haired arrogance, but Faes is the best defender we have. Vestergaard however is just painfully slow and quite frankly milk turns faster. Pair Faes with Nelson and they will be solid I'm sure. Soumare was better and wanted the ball more. Winks has mentally checked out. Ayew should have been hooked at HT. Loads for MC to sort but let's get behind him and crank the heat up on the imbeciles in the board room. To$$ers.
-
Kasey is definitely limited as a winger at this level, although replacing Fatawu is going to make most wingers seem limited to be honest. He is a hard-working, strong tackler with a decent passing range with an eye for goal. All things, Skipp and Soumare aren't displaying so must be worth a go in an 8. Not sure he has the size or nous to play as a 9. Ability aside, he has a love for the club and seems a humble kid. Getting rid won't help to rebalance the toxicity in the group. It would be better to try heaven and earth to try and get rid of those who clearly don't want to be here (of which there must be several).

I don't think any manager can be blamed for playing experienced players who have proven quality at this level. Players who can help us gain promotion which is the job they are being employed to do. What should have happened - before MC took the job - is an aggressive clear out and car boot sale of players at the start of the window. It's another club error where they have gone on holiday rather than try and clear the decks and set the foundations for a rebuild. Everything is so half-ar$ed. Faes & Vestergaard are quality CB's in this league no doubt, but their selection has a knock on effect on the development of Okoli & Nelson and they are the players we will need in event of promotion with a year of experience & building an understanding with one another. Soumare is a dreadful player. I was watching him during the match and the number of times he turned down an opportunity to run into space to receive passes was ridiculous. He hides behind attackers so as not to be an option. When he does get the ball it is invariably a sideway pass. That wouldn't be so bad if he was an elite ball winner and game-reading interceptor, but their goal showed that he isn't that either. If we can't sell or cover his wages on loan then he should be a back up player at best. I have faith that MC will come to the same conclusion pretty quickly.

Let's be honest, the club have major PSR issues so we are probably going to breach again for the accounting period ending 30th June, so along with a points deduction that is incoming, we will have another points deduction this time next year. So, even if we get promoted, we will start on minus points with still dicey finances so the odds will be majorly stacked against us. The calibre of manager we can attract with those handicaps will be limited. It wouldn't suit some of the European hipster names bandied on here who would frankly be gobsmacked at the structure of the club, and it wouldn't suit a club building type manager because there is very little they can do in terms of trading and building. The best we can hope for is a manager who can maximise the performance of the players we already have, and who is happy to blood the talented youngsters coming through. Maybe an experienced head who can reset the toxic culture and restore pride in playing for the shirt. The future will be grim until Top does the right thing and sells up or takes a polo mallet to the head, suddenly having an epiphany and deciding to delegate the running of the club.

Waiting until 1st July would be perfectly fine - considering PSR - IF we had a real DoF who was making moves to strengthen the squad, trying to find suitors for our unwanted players, extending deals, focusing on the scouting network to find unearthed gems that could help to creatve value, lining up potential loan moves for our youngsters in readiness. Instead we have a club that has operationally gone into hibernation. What is the quote? "No decision is, in itself, a decision."
