As there's not a thread, I'd post it in this, the McCarron interview was weird, he's been in the job less than 6 months and he's already trying to gaslight the fans. Everyone who works for the club really give the feeling of "the fans are against us, so f**k them" including the players. McCarron said the following, like we're idiots who don't have access to basic data. "We really wanted a manager who knew the leagues inside out, who knew English football and who could really impose a certain style of football that we fully believe in as a football club and that helps us win matches... I give up putting any more energy into supporting Leicester. 90% of fans were against this appointment but the board knew better and employed him anyway, now we're 3 goals down to Robbie Savage's Peterborough at home. Why make such a high risk appointment when you know the stakes are so high?

So you're basically saying, "you lot will never be happy with the manager you never wanted." I am aware of what's happened over the last 2 seasons but we're the biggest club, with the biggest wage budget and have spent the most money in League One, we SHOULD be prime Man U of League One. I wouldn't even say the fanbase has has high expectations but maybe we should be like you and lower them even more.

I keep hearing how his style takes time to adapt but his most successful period as a manager and the reason why he got the Rangers and Leicester job, was in the first 6 months at Southampton, they only got worse after that... I think the truth is, there's no gold at the end of the rainbow in his tactics, he's just not a good manager.

There's loads of decent young keepers who went out on loan to Championship and League One teams this season, why we decided to go for a keeper who can't use his feet is baffling to me. I know it was deadline day but as soon as Jakub went off injured we should have just hijacked any loan deal that was happening that day (like Arsenal keeper Tommy Setford) or taken one of the thousands of Chelsea keepers.

There's a lot of truth in this. He was a man in his mid-30's when he had a football club put under his responsibility after his dad tragically died at said football club. Yes he didn't have his eye on the ball (to say the f***ing least) but as a business owner, you should be able to trust that the team isn't putting you in a financial hole that can completely ruin you. You think the Saudi Princes are looking at the P&L sheets at Charlton Athletic and sorting out contracts / infrastructure at the club or do they sign big cheques and highly-paid team sort it out? Top has signed a lot of big cheques and been let down by a number of people who should have been able to identify how screwed we'd be by behaving like we did. I'm not saying he's blameless, he's absolutely crap but you should be able to be rich, useless and own a football club.

Who could have predicted this? Oh yeah, the majority of the fan base who knew he wasn't good enough at any level. The whole "best we can get" argument some fans made was so f***ing stupid, you sign a striker who's scored 1 goal in the Premier League, don't expect him to score 25 in the Championship.

Very frustrating that we won't get involved in this because we inexplicably signed Alex McCarthy.

A loan for Kevon Gray would probably make sense, as it doesn't look like he's going to get a sniff this season with us signing a CB and Martin preferring Luke Thomas as a CB over him.

He'll be alright, 6/7 out of 10 most games, nothing more, nothing less - Oakley, Clemence, Wellens, Hammond etc.

I quite like the look of Emil Riis but he looks a very similar profile to Bristic, which I don't really get. You'd think we'd want someone who could offer something different if option A wasn't working out.

There's always something weird going on at Leicester on deadline day, Silva - 14 seconds, Sensi at East Midlands airport, Jack Harrison at our training ground and f***ing Ryan Bennett, I'm not sure what I've missed! I feel more chaos is coming tomorrow, I'm sure we'll end up signing a player we'd never considered

I've always said from the start, it's not RMs style of football I particularly don't like, it's distinct lack of ability to win football games which is my issue. I got battered for pointing out his win record was something like 19th worst in the league but if you employ a manager who wins on average 1 in every 3 to 4 games, don't be surprised if you win 1 in every 3 to 4 games.

Right side of history and did your bit 😂 You probably wrote Brendan Out on a bed sheet, didn't stand on the front line. Listen, I wanted the same as you on all these issues but to think that if we had protested more would have made any difference or other fans are to blame is honestly delusional. The fans couldn't have been more toxic last season and we've ended up even lower, so I don't think playing hypotheticals or thinking it's everyone's fault but your own is helping anything.

Out of interest, where do you think the club would be if every fan were like you?

I think the truth is a lot more depressing, the fans have literally no say in the performances on and off the pitch, so whether you're booing or cheering, it doesn't make a difference. The entire stadium chants for Rudkin out every week and he's still here, 90% of fans were very vocal about not wanting Martin coming to the club, he's still here. Boo or cheer all you like in my opinion but don't try and have a go at other fans like what you're doing is making any difference whatsoever, if anything, all you're doing is making the match day experience worse for all around you.

I don't dislike Russell Martin for his football, I just don't think there's any evidence that he's good at winning football games. I appreciate he got Southampton promoted but getting a team who'd been in the Premier League for 10 years prior to 4th place in the Championship isn't exactly the achievement of the century? No one thinks Roy Keane is a good football manager and his achievements are basically exactly the same as RM's.
