You can't say that Top and Rudkin are living in the past for trying to replicate Maresca and then bring up Pearson, you're doing the exact same thing

The last time we played "possession football" was with Maresca when we got promoted, Cooper, Ruud and Rowett were not possession managers and they got us relegated, Marti was more of a possession manager than them but he'd still have games with 30-40% possession. So the only point is that the fanbase aren't getting behind it, not that it "hasn't worked for years"
