  1. Would be quite cool actually if it was factored into the game when you sign players like that where the fanbase turn against you/the club and lose sponsors etc. Either sack him off or ride it out
  2. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/malmo-elfsborg-allsvenskan-title-fixture-preview-b2445370.html Had my eye on this for a while 😂 Elfsborg bottled the easy chance to wrap it up last week, hopefully they'll get over the line tomorrow
  3. Maybe do what Rugby does in that case then. Easiest solution really would be for footballers to stop being cheating *****
  4. Yeah I can't defend VAR right now as it should really be near to 100% perfect, especially for things such as offside. Things like the Havertz tackle last week is always going to be inconsistent as it's a unique event as doesn't have an answer in the rulebook.
  5. So when you go home and find later on that we lost to a goal that shouldn't have been allowed, your overriding thought is "atleast the opposition players and their fans got to enjoy the moment" and not "that goal should never have stood"?
  6. I'll never understand why the moment of joy scoring a goal is more important than the goal being legit. Best example I can think of in relation to us is Chilwell's late equaliser in the cup final. I doubt any of us felt sorry for him or their fans for having to "uncelebrate a goal" that was correctly ruled out. But when we're a neutral to the situation people seem to be more sympathetic? On the whole I'm certain I'm in the minority here
  7. I have players skipping training because of an appreciative/upbeat/sympathetic team talk I gave 6 months ago
  8. Is it really that unneccesary to allow physios on to the pitch while continuing with play? Then only stop play if the physios give a signal that it's a genuine bad one, and by that I mean a stretcher is required, not he needs 20 seconds of magic spray applied. Either that or retrospective action for incidents where its considered the player is taking the mick. But even then the odd incident will slip through the net. Heard Carragher go off at somebody recently and whined we should just play on, even though it was a head injury incidentally I don't think his head was even touched but this is where we are screwed when a head injury guarantees a stoppage. Then the next day someone rightly pointed out that the physios are either in on this tactical feigning malarkey, or they are being mugged off by their own players. Just another modern game annoyance.
  9. Get hammered 3-1 at Tel Aviv "You gave it your best effort lads" Squad want to talk to me over confusing teamtalks Disgustingly pitiful 0-1 defeat at home to someone we should be beating. *Rant while throwing water bottles in all directions and every player* Squad want to talk to me over harsh teamtalks By this point I don't care anymore. Just lost 1-0 away at some no mark while having no shots at all, no subs made. "I'm very pleased with your performance" Squad react ecstatically 🤷
  10. Bielsa vibes from Spurs there some absolutely suicidal football where a better side would have destroyed them, but feeling it's gonna go down as "Spurs were brilliant and brave"
  11. Glad Neville said "there" when Vicario dived or else I'd never have spotted it
  12. When fielding sides/captains get fined for slow over rates, this punishment does seem a bit imbalanced even without the debate as to whether his strap had broken before the 2mins was up
  13. Still far too easy to get good* jobs on this game. 1 season and 1 promotion from the Israeli 2nd tier and top teams from the country are offering me job interviews I hadn't even applied for. *for my level
  14. Utter moron in the studio saying it's okay because it was a forearm to the head, not an elbow 😂
  15. One of the flattest performances of the season and only 2 subs made?
  16. I'm sure the first time it happens at an event where Verstappen isn't guilty of doing it, the penalties will flow
