Premier League 2025/26 Thread
HankMarvin replied to OntarioFox's topic in General Football and Sport
Facundo Buonanotte signed with Chelsea on the last day of the transfer window and said he was very happy because it would be his first time playing in the Champions League. Two days later, he was left out of Chelsea's squad for the competition. -
How much money has King Power invested in LCFC?
HankMarvin replied to DJW1's topic in Leicester City Forum
You’re forgetting the others as on Jan 25 This latest debt-to-equity conversion takes the Srivaddhanaprabha family’s overall investment during its ownership of Leicester City to over £420m -
I guess it depends on the subsequent success, I’m don’t suppose Arsenal fans are too concerned and Man City fans, even though technically they were their 2nd homes. But not like anyone around long enough now

The focus also has to be on the players. They are facing wage reductions of a minimum 35 per cent after relegation. Salaries are further reduced if the club spend more seasons outside the Premier League. I wonder if that was consecutively outside the top flight

Have you purposely increased all the fees

9 solid years in the prem, 10 out of 12 seasons. By the 12th season we can’t afford/ manage to sign anyone because of how the finances have been managed. How are those in charge rewarded for such failure

Where are you getting £80m from
-
It’s £26m
-
Or looking at the players we signed on loan, we were never offering serious wages for Brownhill
-
Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart - loan) poor price given what other players have moved for at similar clubs Mads Hermansen (West Ham) poor price, given what most thought he would go for prior to bids Kasey McAteer (Ipswich) great deal Woyo Coulibaly (Sassuolo - loan) shit signing James Justin (Leeds) fairly low price Wilfred Ndidi (Besiktas) 6m done well to get anything after he could’ve left for free last season. Conor Coady (Wrexham) terrible signing in the first place £7.5m received 2m Daniel Iversen (Preston) should’ve been sold when offers where received About 4/10 because of kasey and ndidi

Just checked no injuries

Didn’t buy a striker after losing Vardy, club has been ran poorly it’s not by choice no money has been spent. Not sure how it could be highly rated

Net value of our transfer window - anyone?
HankMarvin replied to TheStig's topic in Leicester City Forum
£107m last time the accounts were out for 23/24 add the new signings for the prem season and deduct any outgoing payers contracts Then deduct the players sold contracts and expired contracts for this season and add wages for new players on loan which we will likely be paying. Given that we have not spent any money replacing the best striker in the clubs history, I think it’s fair to say the finances were worse that many imagined -

The "well that was unexpected" deadline day thread
HankMarvin replied to AjcW's topic in Transfer Talk
Got to be the most underwhelming summer window ever for incomings. Our squad is worth £120m on TM and that’s bolstered by the likes of Soumare, Faes, Victor, -

I got as far as don’t see him succeeding in the championship Decent finisher not much other qualities Just to slow to play at our level Good target man don’t expect too much from him -
Haven’t we been tortured enough when he was a player

Cheery read -
17 goals and 5 assists from AM that season

It does appear like we are always walking a financial tightrope. Dorset said we appeased PSR after Justin was sold but the late loans and lack of activity suggests a more reactive approach based on movement out today.

Bobby Reid has played as a cf before 👀
