  1. Good chat in fairness. Even if its not news.
  2. No troubles our end. But there is no doubt we are worse off and I think it will filter down to working families with lower incomes. I have been really bothered by the economy. Its been bad since they took over and the bond markets are something i'm not interested in but am learning and its bad news for all of us.
  3. Got you. Many of these don't apply to us. Our school doesn't get the breakfast club funding. It already has made sensible decisions on school uniform, so doesn't need a 'bill' in 2026 to help parents save £50 a year. As an employer, the workers rights are going to cause chaos and have made us (maybe this is the plan) accelerate our automation plans to reduce future staffing (this may be a long term plus). Our household income has dropped due to the tax increases and the general malaise in the economy. My wifes work is suffering as labour have massively stripped back public sector investment in infrastructure or as a minimum put it on hold. The rising bond markets are very worrying for the UK and it will effect all of us. The next round of tax rises will be required just to pay the increased interest on borrowing. I think Streeting will have a good crack at the NHS. He seems to not care about being popular which will help him. The temporary relief of the NHS strikes has helped the backlog, but IMO it will be a short term fix for long term pain as the Unions become more militant, particularly in health.
  4. What has been the pluses so far? It's just been negatives in our household.
  5. With the new signings, I absolutely think he could produce the goods WFH.
  6. If I were in charge of HR at LCFC, there are a number of employees that would be ideal for a full-time work from home policy that would end at the end of their contracts. With these particular employees, I think that they would be just as efficient at their jobs at home as they would being forced to come into to their place of work. The reduced travelling time by not having to go to Seagrave improves their efficiency without any detriment to their work output.
  7. Im 43 and retirement doesn't interest me. Im saving well for my retirement so that I am set-up for life, but a yearning to stop doing what I am very good at hasn't yet set in.
  8. I've said before, this is the best contract of his career and he treats the club like dirt. He might not like how the club is managed, or the fans, but there is no doubt he is being paid very well to put up with it. Our due diligence on player attitudes is sh*t.
  9. If he knuckled down he could easily get another silly Rudkin contract that will be worth double what he gets elsewhere.
  10. The tax regime is attractive to high earning foreigners at present. He will be £200-300k per year better off than he would be in the UK on the same salary.
  11. Good move for him. Glad its not another struggling side.
  12. You say owes, I think its more like owns. If China turns off the tap of oil money and chips for the Russian drones the war changes very quickly. I suspect there is a lot of truth in the reports that China have fold the EU that they do not want Russia to 'lose' the war.
  13. Its clear who is in charge of that photo. Putin thinks he is the strongman. Xi knows he owns him.
  14. It's already been said by others, but we wouldn't be making a profit on him, so there would be no profit % to pay to gent. It could be a shrewd move.
  15. We lose his wages from this year and we get the loan fee. So we will have another £2m in salary, plus £5m loan fee. It's actually ok a deal
  16. Or he never lived up to his potential and never set the world alight. He never slated the club, he was just a bit rubbish.
  17. I didn't understand the demerai gray stuff. It was classless IMO. Won the league. Scored the goal at Cardiff. No need for the chants.
  18. I was interested and went and looked. The only thing he has posted about the IDF is “Killing their own people and blaming Israel” which was after the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital attack. Otherwise, he seems to lament the suffering that is happening.
  19. Russians can play. Russian football teams and the national can not.
  20. £3m up front then £15m in installments? Or big JR BS-ing his figures again?
  21. They are making landlordism easier for some, harder for others. It won't reduce rents or make housing more affordable.
  22. Its very true. Its creating big opportunities for the larger landlords. The ones upset are the smaller ones, particularly those that rely on mortgages. In the case of Labour, we can we add to the ever increasing list of 'unintended consequences' of the current parliament?
  23. I know someone that owns over 1000 properties and he is delighted with the changes the current government has made. As he puts it, its hits him hard in the pocket but creates massive opportunity for growth as small landlords leave the market. Its nice to see Labour are on the side of the larger corporate landlords.
  24. Gwan Starmer. Do us all a favour and get them banned. Perhaps Reeves can plug her £64bn black hole with £100 fines for any parent that has a child caught with a phone.
